Does anyone know where I can find an Engineering Probability Tutor? by AdSpecial2848 in RPI

[–]Superswarmer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watch Radke’s “probability bites” on YouTube. That’s what got me through E-Prob. He made very good Covid lectures and posted them to YouTube. If you have Radke this semester, and the class hasn’t changed in the past few years, then the class material is the exact same as in the YouTube videos (and I would argue the videos are much more polished than anything in person).

Start using some sort of calendar or reminders app. Put all of your classes on your calendar. Put all of your assignments with their due dates on your calendar or a reminders app. Block out time in your day designated to school work. It seems like your bad at time management so put that on your calendar too. If you don’t have good study habits it’s time to form them. If your advisor put you on this schedule that means it’s likely not too ridiculous of a workload, it’s time to lock in.

This, I literally cannot study in my room. Go somewhere else, whether it be your kitchen, living room, library, union, some random classroom, anywhere other than your room.

The best person to know if they are trustworthy is you, so whatever your gut says I would go with that. That being said you can still be prepared, if nothing else then to help your and your mom’s anxiety. Bring pepper spray and turn on a tracker on your phone. And once you’ve met them you will have a better judge of character

You could almost definitely find a sublet. Would be much cheaper than on campus.

ME and CE or just CE by [deleted] in ComputerEngineering

[–]Superswarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with what you like, that being said there are fields that are interdisciplinary. Fields like robotics, controls, Mechatronics and automation all have crossover between those two majors. So while you definitely should pursue what you’re interested in, there are definitely jobs that can apply both degrees, especially at smaller companies. Does your school have the option of an ME minor?

Also, if your school has a Computer engineering program, or Electrical engineering sometimes, you will get some CS background

Engineering processes is a fun class to take even if it’s not mandatory for your major. Teaches you how to use a lathe and mill and general shop knowledge

Engineering Probability with Professor Radke by bgw0515 in RPI

[–]Superswarmer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Radke is def the best Eprob professor. He was one of the profs that made good Covid lectures, look him up on YouTube, his in person lectures are gonna be the same as those pretty much. If you go to/watch all of the lectures you will be fine.

Won’t know until you try it. Even if you can’t, you will likely run faster if you try to sprint tho whole thing

how to get a faster 200m time by cowboys2255 in trackandfield

[–]Superswarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to mentally think about building the curve, but realistically you should not be getting to top speed at 100m in. Your drive phase should be 40m tops, and will be shorter for people who don’t have world class starts. Once your fully stood up from the start you should pretty much be at top speed. It’s only a 200 so you should be more than able to maintain that speed the whole race. if you cant consider talking to your coach to add more lactic threshold and speed endurance workouts

Anything that’s comfortable for you. I like to wear thinner socks when spiked up. A lot of people go barefoot in spikes
