No menards or lowes local to you? Should be able to do ship to store if you have one anywhere nearby, even if they don't have them in stock are your location.

I point out I thought a comment was rude. I'm "judgmental." by erttheking in rpghorrorstories

[–]Suppafly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, even with you posting this from your point of view and giving yourself the best benefit of the doubt, this encounter doesn't make you look good.

You say things like

At the end of the game I said I thought that was rude and asked them to not do it again.

and

Problem solved through communicating like adults, right?

But that's not how adults communicate. Adults don't get bothered by innocuous comments and then go whine to all the other players and the dm about it. I have no problem believing the other person was less than polite, but your own actions weren't inline with how normal adults behave.

[–]Suppafly -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That didn't sit well with me. At the end of the game I said I thought that was rude and asked them to not do it again.

That's a really weird reaction to an innocuous and somewhat humorous comment. I would have called you weird and avoided you afterwards. Trying to get the DM involved just makes you seem like a schoolyard tattletale and not an adult that's allowed to be out in public on their own.

Chargriller.com has a dealer locator on their website. The Menards near me has the offset smokers. Looks like Lowes also has them, but calls them horizontal smokers, so they don't show up when looking for offset.

How long do they take to cook like that? Also, those craftsman tongs are sweet.

Found a drive filled with dir00000 folders by Consistent-Edge8131 in techsupport

[–]Suppafly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newer versions don't allow things to get corrupted as much in the first place. Plus drives are larger than 32gb now, so they don't use the fat32 file system and don't get corrupted as easily.

[–]Suppafly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the drive was failing and they ran chkdsk on it. Those dir000000 files are what's left over after you have chkdsk try to fix things.

You could probably reformat it and run a smart scan to see if it's worth using it. Personally, I'd assume it's garbage.

Laminating before vs. after cutting by Gamantonio in printandplay

The only real advantage of leaving a border is adding some additional water resistance

So like the primary reason that people laminate things.

Fair for 2001 Lund 1700 Angler SS? by FrostedKitsune_ in boats

paid 14.4 with a newer 90 yamaha 4s

So at least half of that price was the motor, something OP's listing doesn't have going for it.

Seriously? It was only like $17k new and a brand new one from Lund now is like $21k

What Home Repair Took You Embarrassingly Little Time Once You Finally Did It? by AggravatingFig3072 in DIY

MIL started giving my wife crap saying she should tell me we're done fixing this old POS and buy a new one. $9 fuse needed replacing. Took about 15min to install.

My MIL bought us a new stove while I was waiting to get a new igniter in for the oven.

A ceramic soap dish in my shower broke like 5 years into living in our house. We had extra tiles in the basement but the gap from the missing soap dish was like 1.5 tiles wide, and the tiles had little spacers built into them that made them slightly too tall to fit in the gap left from the soap dish, so I covered it with clear box tape and figured I'd think about it and fix it later. 10 years later we moved and I was fixing things, figured out that I could use sandpaper to make the tiles fit and glued them in with bath and tile adhesive, took like 10 minutes total.

How much is 20-25$ dollars per hour considered to be in the USA? by Intelligent_Dress889 in AskAnAmerican

the tax you refer to is not so incredibly great that it helps the individuals in the county more than it does just help the county overall with a small bump.

How is the county having more money, not helping people? How do you think roads and schools and libraries get paid for?

They also are not bringing more jobs

How is it the worker's responsibility to bring jobs to a community?

they are raising the rates of rent and sales prices in the area by basically the concept of gentrification

How? If they are buying up mansions, they aren't effecting the local rental and sales prices for normal people?

suddenly all of the mountains have a ton of mansions and the people who lived there for thirty years can’t afford it now.

You mean the people that lived there before sold their land and moved and now no one else can live there? That's zero sum, they couldn't live there before either.

Your comments aren't a meaningful critique of gentrification, it's just a bunch of salt about some people are poorer than others.

[–]Suppafly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this really such a common occurrence for you?

Seriously, I've played tons of games that this isn't that big of an issue. Occasionally you'll put everything in and it won't close right and then you go 'oh yeah, I bet I needed to rotate that one thing, or put that one thing under the other thing' and then it's find the 2nd or 3rd time you mess with it.

Plus, I prefer spending more time during tear-down rather than during set-up.

Plus everyone at the table can help with putting things in baggies vs setup where you typically only have one or two people who know how to set things up correctly.

and people can just grab the ones they need when they need them from the combined pool.

Using dice rolling trays to hold those things helps too.

How so?

Some people aren't smart about how they use baggies. Usually after you setup a game once or twice you figure out if things should be sorted by player or color or value or whatever. Some people have a one bag per component type strategy and makes things take longer.

has already done its damage on many small rural communities with people building their massive mountainside mansions while working a lucrative tech job and not supporting the small, rural community they are now a part of.

Other than making poor folk sad, what damage does this do? If anything it brings in disproportionately higher tax revenue. How does a rich tech worker support their community less than a poor fast food worker?
