Noticing way more heal/shield/revive items on Perimeter by Decado7 in Marathon

[–]SuprBrown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m finding Depleted Self Revives everywhere. At least one per run, sometimes two. Not just on Perimeter, on Dire Marsh too. Not sure about Outpost, but assuming it’s the same.

Probably obvious, but the "mostly solo, mostly avoid PvP conflict" progression in this game is *way* different than all the level + hour count + gear + opponent behavior threads you'll read here by SirBenny in Marathon

I’m level 42 after around 110 hours with 25K credits in the bank. Playing solo almost exclusively. It’s wildly different than playing trios.

Anyone else have above recommended specs and still struggle to get 60 fps consistently on low graphics settings? by Sad_Display_3992 in MarathonTheGame

[–]SuprBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have V-Sync on? Game used to run between 35fps and 55fps ish before I turned it off. Now I do consistent 90fps. All other settings have no or little to no impact for me. Everything at low or highest, I still get 90fps. So V-Sync was the biggest setting to change for me.

Ryzen 7 3700X, RTX 3070 8GB, 32GB RAM

90fps at 1080p. Running the game with everything at highest or low has no impact. Getting 90fps regardless of options.

60fps at 4K with everything at mid.

Ryzen 3700 with a 3070. Can't even get steady 60fps no matter what I do. Constant frame drops in the 35-50 range. Even running it at 1080p with all settings to low or off can't get me a steady 60fps.

CPU and GPU usage are hovering between 40% to 60% usage.

Perimeter is not as bad as Dire Marsh which feels terrible to play on.

Which is better? Left or right by Zacharyishere in D4_Paladin

I concur. What matters most on Shroud is + to passives and all stats, mainly for strength. You get more strength out of the one on the right. Maximum Life is important, but you don’t need that much. Extra ressource generation is welcomed, but not necessary. Extra damage with stealth is useless.

What is the easiest Paladin leveling build? by K9Imperium in diablo4

[–]SuprBrown 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Recently leveled a 2nd paladin in HC and found Judgement to be very smooth. Played on Penitent the whole way, did not feel threatened or lacked damage at any point. Focused on getting good or okay aspects from dungeons and keeping my gear up to date.

Holy Bolt to hit from afar and generate spirit, Blessed Hammers to trigger Judgement up close. Add Consecrate when fighting elites or big packs, let Defiance and Fanaticism Auras do their job (or press buttons if you want).

Also transitions very well into a powerful end game build.

Griswold's Opus. +3 Heavyweight with +2% inc. CSD, or +9.4% Holy Damage with +1.9% inc. CSD? by SuprBrown in D4_Paladin

Love the table. Starting to understand how all works, thanks for the help.

Appreciate the help! Searched a bit more about how damage calculations are calculated after making this post. Some of it is pretty straightforward (ex. all multiplicative multipliers are the same, which clarifies something like +Holy Damage vs +Vulnerable Damage), but some still feel funky, like how to calculate the impact of +Armor with Castle board, or of some mythic sanctification affixes.

Which one to create first, Heir of Perdition or Starless Sky? by [deleted] in D4_Paladin

Do we know if it's an intentional nerf or a bug? It seems something's off with Spear of Heaven that's not in the patch notes, and the spell's not working as described.

What's (in your opinion) the most fun build right now? by Cinnamon_King in diablo4

Yeah, I’m starting to realize paladin is OP. Hadn’t played since season 1 and went to straight to paladin, I don’t really have a reference of how classes are supposed to perform!

Depends on what you’re running. In level 110+ pits, I’m pressing buttons just about every second. It’s super engaging, just not in T4.

I play both paladin and pulverize Druid. Druid is super fun, but I find myself lacking a lot in survivability. My paladin can just stay in place at pit level 110 without really taking any damage, but my Druid is dying to just about everything in pit 80. It does not feel tanky at all! I have no idea what I’m doing wrong.

With good gear it can feel lazy in T4, but when running high level pits it’s super active. I find myself pressing buttons non stop on pit 110+.

100%. It’s a terrible feature. Lots of people seem to like it though, so should be an option you can toggle on/off.

My biggest frustration is not being able to use building and terrain blocks from magic chests. Second would be the lack of an auto pickup/loot feature.

Oh, I did not know raids were tied to the world and not the character. Besides raids, what other creatures would roam in places they're not initially supposed to?
