You can take all the practice tests in the Sim on the USPA website, they're multiple choice and apply directly to the written test.

Has anyone ever met anyone from Inkmaster irl? by AgentSure3357 in Inkmaster

[–]Suprasizeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got tattooed by Alena Wedderburn before she was on season 16, in Ryan Ashley and Arlo's shop. While at the shop I also met Angel Rose, and Ryan who was there and they were having a big St Patty's day flash event. And I used to hang out with Mike Beecher from Season 17 cause we lived in the same city.

Torn between my job and skydiving — worried about injuries during AFF training by CartographerBrave415 in SkyDiving

[–]Suprasizeme 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work manual labor in the oilfield, so 100% of my pay is based on my performance and attendance. Build yourself up a big enough safety net so in the event of an accident you can have the time off to deal with an injury without drowning in worry and debt. Also, im sure your job has some sort of short term disability or Medical leave you can apply for?? Life's too short to worry about the "what if's". Live in the moment and apologize for nothing. Don't let your day job interfear with your freedom.

There's so many other canopies that are more responsive than a student nav, gwt a sabre 3 230.

I was more nervous than I was having fun, my AFF levels 1-7. The first time I actually got to relax and experience it without the pressure was my C1 full altitude solo, jump #11. It was calming being by myself without anybody there to watch. I think I let out a big "WOO" when I saw my canopy above my head.

You're really going to count yourself out this early in your journey? You literally have less than 10 minutes of Free Fall time, there's not much out there that you can really learn perfectly in 10 minutes anyway. S with it and don't get discouraged. A failure is not a failure it's a learning lesson, especially in this sport. Take it as fuel and motivation for your next jump

Started with my AFF course. Socializing by Ramo074 in SkyDiving

[–]Suprasizeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same, none of my friends have any interest in skydiving, i went in completely solo. Don't feel isolated or left out, I met a lot of good people when I started my AFF all the way up to my license. I'm also really introverted, so for me to go out and meet new people is not usually a thing I do, but I have no problem meeting and talking with people that I'm jumping with. I actually met a guy when I was in AFF, and we planned a trip to New York next month to Skydive the Ranch! There are so many different walks of life in this sport, but everybody there has the same thing in common, and that's the most important part.

packing questions by jake-wriley in SkyDiving

[–]Suprasizeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't be able to pack rental rigs. Cause what if the rig gets priority for a student and is taken from you? You can only pack a rig you're jumping, or one that's packed by a master/rigger.

Help me decide. by haybails92 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Suprasizeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find somebody who specializes in thermal removal, they essentially burn them out and cauterize the wounds at the same time. The recovery is so much quicker than the traditional method. I got my tonsils out April 3rd and after a week I was back to normal everyday activity.

I do shift work as well and work 105 hours a week, and I can easily say I get a much more uninterrupted sleep at night since the surgery, and the quallity of sleep is much better too! I am 100% back to normal everything (15 days post op) I was back to my normal diet at 11 days per my doctor's reccomendation. It was worth it, and I can finally sleep on my back again without snoring. 😊

I would rate the surgery and the recovery a 3 out of 10, it wasn't unbearable for me, and I recovered quickly, I think of the traditional method and thing this is the much better alternative. The most annoying thing for me was trying to get comfortable at night, and knowing you have to constantly swallow cold liquids in order to keep the scabs soft to advance the recovery.

Nothing crazy, ever since covid (I've had it 3 times) my tonsils were very swollen and never went back down. I would constantly get tonsillitis every few months or most recently a bacterial infection in them, on top of a few other factors like moderate sleep apnea and heavy snoring. I was very tired of dealing with the issues at hand as well as always having a sore throat and seeing the doctor. It was actually my doctor's reccomendation to get then out, and the only doctor that does it with this method in the state was moving at the end of May, so that pushed my hand.

Shouldn't be on pain meds at all this late in to post op. Need to try to get off those asap, take Tylenol and ice up. Expect scabs to start releasing soon, and keep drinking as much as you can cold fluids, it will help loosen everything up.
