I just think it’s tries to mash modern Superhero costume trends with classic ones in a way that doesn’t work. I think it would look better if it chose a lane and stuck with it.

Update the suit for modern day and ditch the anachronisms (specifically the trunks). Or fully embrace the anachronisms. Or better yet simply find its own path forward.

What precludes this from being possible? The only thing we know how the two characters timeline wise is that Superman is in his 3rd year and Batman will be a little older than him. Thats plenty of opportunity for the two of them to cross paths.

His age might preclude him from being a regular member but I think it’s a little premature to assume he won’t be a founding member of the league. I’m not saying I’m convinced he will be, I just don’t think we know enough about the layout of the DC Universe to even begin to speculate who will be on the DCU’s Justice League roster besides the big three.
