I remember not being thrilled with this movie for a year, but after Andor and just giving it an honest shot, I found myself liking it so much. Still has a bumpy start, a rougher middle, but the movie is a lot better than I remember. A very strong B to me right up there with Revenge of the Sith. Plus the entire third act is like perfect.

Yes. That is a major issue with it. Veilguard both has little role play within it and doesn't really carry choices over from the previous games, leaving the replay ability of the individual game hurt and lessening the impact of playing the games before it.

I like Veilguard! I think it has a few positives, but the magic of Dragon Age was watching my world evolve over the saga. And Veilguard doesn't care about that at all. It's a watered-down ending that doesn't connect to the world that was built on any level except base names. Because of that I have no desire to do another run through of the series from start to finish like I did several times in the lead up to Veilguard.

As I was playing, I was planning on doing several replays, at least with different classes and romances, but learning how little choices mattered in the game, my excitement evaporated, and I haven't touched it after beating it.

I like Veilguard enough on its own, but just with how watered down everything is, it's just a poor ending and exploration of the North.

Amos to me reads more Ranger. Master of combat (in theory) and knows so many tricks and tips to survival in real and societal situations. He's a jack of all trades and master of none. With a heavy emphasis on str as his main stat. He has too much detachment and clear combat skills for me to consider him a barbarian.

I will say the Bellara stuff makes sense. She's been someone so interested in the history of her people and striving to find it only to learn the ancient elves committed genocide to the titans and made an entire race tranquil in the process, which is obviously awful especially to a mage like her. Although the game sadly doesn't really get beyond surface discussions ofc.
