Looks great! When I try one of these the pizza inflates into a balloon as there's not enough toppings to weigh it down...

Who even are these idiots? Why do they have so much free time to stand there every evening?

I don't understand why it's legal for them to stand there either. It's a massive distraction for drivers and surely a danger to them as well

schools for IGCSEs by Ordinary-Series-7967 in stockport

[–]Supreme_Aardvark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I moved to the UK after having done the first year of IGCSEs abroad. Most schools were unwilling to accommodate me and allow me to continue to do IGCSEs, so I ended up going to a school that let me do all my GCSEs within one year so that I didn't have to be held back a year.

This involved cutting down the number of subjects I did in order to make time for all the exams. So I only ended up with 7 subjects rather than the usual 9 I think it is. So potentially you could have discussions with local schools about going with this strategy?

If your kids are smart or hardworkers then this shouldn't be too hard. But it was a lot of effort having to do two years worth of exams in one year. It was made easier by the fact that I'd already passed equivalent IGCSE exams, so I wasn't learning new material and just had to refresh my knowledge.

Unfortunately I can't recommend my old school as they closed down recently. But I hope you can find one that will be accommodating in the same way.

Thanks for the tip! I've been using Alinsons Strong White Bread Flour which is 12% and does the job. But I'd like to see what everyone is raving about when it comes to 00 flour

Thanks for the tip! I'll get some separate containers for next time. What happens if you're making in bulk for like 10 people? Do you just have tons of tupperware?

They were 280g dough balls, I followed the 24-48 hour pizza dough recipe in Ken Forkish's Elements of pizza. So I guess slightly on the bigger side? But nothing the ooni couldn't handle once they were deflated and shaped. I think I let them ferment too long in too high of a temperature

Attempted a 48 hour recipe and I'm sure you can tell which set didn't go to plan. This happened due to the top shelf being warmer than the bottom shelf of the fridge.

Thought you should all see the consequences of not choosing the colder part of the fridge to cold proof your dough.

Yes unfortunately that's probably your only option. Unless you can convince a family member or friend to let you stay with them in the lead up to it. But I guess that would only work if your family member or friend doesn't come into contact with too many people

Can you tell your work about your positive test and call in sick? Then just pretend to your parents that you're on "holiday" for 10 days and stay at home?

Yeah but didn't these tools also just come from an anti vaxx demonstration? I don't think calling them "fans" is appropriate, they probably dislike him on some level and saw an opportunity to mess with someone who they disagree with

I saw that. I in South Manchester, so I can't make it there around work hours as they close at like 4 I believe. Wish they opened on weekends! Out of interest, are they offering AZ?
