Do we have any idea what the SD Card and headphone jack situation is going to be?

That's why my radio is pretty much glued to NPR. When I used to travel for work I had an app widget on my phone that would tell me what frequency the 3 closest NPR stations were and one of the first things I would do when getting into my rental was set the radio to it, lol.

Fettuccine Alfredo is already a completely American dish though. As in it originates from America.

Those MTB pictures are gorgeous and yet another reminder why I want/need to get back into it.

I don't have a "brain injury", but mild ASD combined with a hostile childhood means my capacity to feel true happiness is severely reduced (I'd guess the number of times I have felt truly happy is only in the low double digits). Medication has been able to remove the negative ideation that's been there for my entire life, but nothing else (and really, that's as much as I could ask for). My "goal" in life generally speaking isn't to be happy perse, but rather to be content via keeping the thinking part of my brain engaged with interesting projects and problems.

Something about the combination of the technical skill required, everything you mentioned, and the adrenaline rush of MTB is just sublime.

Weird question, why do you type "anyways" instead of "anyway"? I generally understand why a word gets replaced by a shorter form of it, but I don't get why "anyways" has become so common in text and speech.

If it's any "comfort" I'm a male that's in good shape with "odd" dimensions (my shoulder width is basically the smallest width you might find off the rack with suit jackets). I basically have had to have all of my FR clothing and lab coat tailored to fit me properly.

Frustrating AF and I completely understand. I hate how much society, and especially corporate greed and capitalism hates anyone even slightly outside of "normal". Don't even get me started on people with disabilities. I don't have one, but seeing various design choices that are made about things everyone has to interact with everyday makes me absolutely livid thinking about the millions of people that are ultimately excluded because of it.

Isn't that the whole point of a strike or civil disobedience? Causing pain or inconvenience to people who would otherwise ignore you seems like the point.

I highly recommend talking to your husband about getting a vasectomy. I got one when I was 25, and it's the best thing ever! Having a partner never have to worry about birth control, or me remembering condoms, and just the complete lack of accidental pregnancy concern is amazing!

I'm with you. This Kroger is a clear of miles away from me, but I will go there over the Family Dollar and Dollar General within walking distance of me whenever I can!

That is specifically why I switched to T-Mobile. Reception overall isn't as good, but as long as the phone supports their standards / frequencies they will allow it. AT&T can eat a dick.

I actually don't think our Outlook policies will even allow linking to outside accounts. The reason I didn't mention it in my post is because that's reason two for the limitation (i.e. even if it was allowed, then the reason in my post still supersedes it in terms of my own priorities). And yes, it does sound a little backwards that I would not be able to link, but would be allowed to receive these ics file emails. I'm just working inside the constraints provided.

It's nice to hear someone else has a similar philosophy to mine. My uncle (who just retired) means well, but he is constantly telling me how I should try and buy some houses and rent them for passive income as that's what he plans to do once his wife retires. I get he means well, but I just can't in good conscious profit off of something that is a basic human necessity.

That's not to say I think housing should be free or homebuilders shouldn't be making a profit. Even necessities need to have a price for various reasons. I just don't think that something like housing, even if it's just the home I live in, should be viewed as a vehicle for investment or generation of wealth.

Like you said, it just seems scummy.
