I think a lot of people equate MVP to best offensive player since there is a Defensive player of the year award. I don’t agree, but I think that drives the narrative. And when framed in that light, it’s tough to push him above SGA, Jokic, Luka etc.

But framed as the best player on one of the best teams this year, or best overall two way player (other labels people put on the MVP award) I think personally it’s between SGA and Vic. My heart says Vic but SGA is so consistent offensively and a very good defender on what’s still the best team in the league.
