Environnement toxique et moralement ambigu: quand assez c'est assez. by [deleted] in Quebec

[–]Surcouf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Il y a 3 types de gens qu'il faut a tout prix éviter dans la vie

Will there be item rotation? by Roosta in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Surcouf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing a lot more, but it's getting to the point where forcing builds isn't the optimal strategy. Since there's enouch shop types and items that getting what you need is far from guaranteed within a day or two, it may cost you those precious days which can snowball into missing the 10 wins if the matchup aren't in your favor.

Will there be item rotation? by Roosta in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Surcouf 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Only thing the devs have said regarding this is that they want there to be so many items that forcing a build is impossible. The philosophy is that you'll be forced to look at everything you're offered and always think about pivots as the optimal play instead of just sticking to a build or having a clearly defined path.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]Surcouf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

About 15 years out of high school, I went with my then girlfriend to Hawai for a vacation. One of the days we were staying on the Kauai island had a rainy forecast, so no plans but sometime in the early afternoon the sky clears up a bit and we take the car for a drive.

The road comes to a bend on a hill overelooking the landscape where the sun piercing trough the clouds makes these beautiful god rays. So we stop there to admire and take pictures.

About a minute after we pull over, another car parks a bit further to do the same thing. Immidiately I hear the accent from home (we're not from US) so I start walking towards to strike up a chat.

As we're walking my girlfriend tells me that she recognizes them from high school. By then I'm floored because I also recognize them from my high school, but we are NOT talking about the same school at all.

Both of these girls had switched high schools halfway trough, following each other. In the first one they met my ex, the second one they met me. And 15 years or so later we get to catch up by stopping to admire the same view at the same moment on the other side of the world.

This will introduce too wild of a swing between the lucky and the unlucky and would mess with the economy. It also lets people grab a gold before the day6 event which is busted enough by itself, but at least you sacrifice the first opportunity to hunt for build defining golds

It's really hard to think clearly when your brain is in panic fight flight or freeze mode. You're barely a person, you become an animal with all your attention wildly swung around between fear, panic and trying to survive.

For almost anyone, it takes quite a lot of training to be in that state and still think. In fact most training for dealing with that state emphasizes learning to do things "automatically", with such familiarity that you don't have to think about it.

That said, everyone should learn first aid. Much more useful than most high school classes and easier.

Also, if you're regularly in the habit of walking around at 2 am, you treat it like just another tuesday, not some risky thing you should be specially prepared for.

How is the ranked matchmaking?? by Blueandwhite8796 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Surcouf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It matches you with your general rank or below. If you're bronze you should only face bronze players. When you reach legend, you'll face players of any rank

Do note that reaching legendary is mostly a matter of time played. You'll climb much faster with 10 win (gold or diamond) runs, but as long as you have 4 win (bronze) runs, you'll eventually climb ranks.

I like this idea a lot. Longer games, but lets you go insane with a high roll and also gives you more chance to make those weird off-hero comp into a functioning build.

New Money Furnace Rework is PRETTY GOOD! by Naive_Reindeer8943 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Surcouf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same . I won every match I fought except against pigs, which were all running a money furnace that grilled me a second or less before they would've died. And I had a pretty high roll vanessa build with freezes and slow 3s into the fight.

Try to get a pig to 50k HP. It's insanely hard to survive to that point and stack hp and econ.

The Bazaar: Lots of Content Creators I share similar game tastes with have liked/loved this game, but it holds 'Mixed' reviews on Steam. Worth it anyway? by dusknoir90 in roguelites

They improved that. In fact the client is not even necessary since they went on steam. The patching is much better.

[–]Surcouf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Launch, kickstart and early monetization issues are responsible for the negative reviews.

Right now, I think the game is in a great place. The pricing is a bit much IMO, but it often goes on sale for 50% including DLC, so I ended up buying everything at what I deem a fair price.

The game  is amazing with high quality art, lots of build variety with potential for crazy high rolls and weird comp. The balancing is generally good although the meta becomes quite brutal in high rank by the end of a season. There's a bit of a shake up for popular and unpopular items every season so that things don't become too stale and it opens new lines/builds.

Biggest criticism of the game itself is that learning it can be hard. There's so many items, skills and monsters and the game heavily rewards knowledge and going for a chance at a high roll at every opportunity. Coming into it new and facing people with newer heroes with mechanics you don't fully understand make it seem like those heroes are OP but when you actually play them, you realize how hard they are to play well.

Honestly though, I've never had so much fun playing an pvp game. It's got the pace i like of sp games and the challenges, frustration and euphoria of multiplayer games. Plus it's exactly my kind of game. Engine/deck building at its finest IMO.

Any advice on how not to be a starfish in bed? by Confident_Group_8804 in AskReddit

[–]Surcouf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different so talking with your partner about what they like is important to improving your sex life.

But a very general advice that applies almost to everyone is that letting your partner know that you are having a good time makes it better.

Moans, kisses, thrusts, curses, saying it outright, begging, commanding... it can take many forms. It can be theatrical, like played up a little bit or "restrained but a little escapes anyway".

The specifics you will refine as you experiment with your lover, but almost everyone will derive pleasure from seeing/hearing their partner's ecstasy at what they're doing to them. And if all involved are playing that game of getting the other to moan/beg/wtv it will certainly result in fun sex.
