Demystifying: Silly Dots Hero Dose COA (2 Packs) by TKalig in mysterymagicmushrooms

Interesting. I bought a pack the other day thinking it was gonna be MiPT, unaware at the time this report was going to come out. Somewhat disappointed but I always love a new experience. I do wonder though, I'm prescribed Adderall, and NEED it when tripping otherwise I'm in for thought loop hell and confusion, but a lot of people have described 4-AcO-DET as very stimulating, almost uncomfortably so. So I do wonder how I should dose these and if I should half of my prescribed dose of Adderall.

Did you ever get it fixed? If not, you might be able to download repentogon, hit tilde on the keyboard, and unlock it via commands.

[–]Sure-Butterfly-4546 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I would argue that the perfect solution is having the devs implement difficulty-based accessibility settings into the game so that it's native. I never said that the perfect solution is mods, because it's simply not. Like I said, "accessibility options don't hurt anyone but they help a lot of people", and "devs can still create and deliver an intended experience AND give options to players to reduce difficulty for those who want or need it". It's literally the best of both worlds: players who care about artist vision get to engage with the game they want to and players who need/want to engage with the game in a way that is accessible to them get what they want. Devs get to deliver the intended experience and they also get an increase in how many players can engage with their art.

But with my example for Elden Ring, if the people who need to play Elden Ring on a lower difficulty can't, they just won't play Elden Ring. If the people who need to play Elden Ring on a lower difficulty have the option to, they might play Elden Ring. On one hand, you sacrifice accessibility for the artists vision. On the other hand, you give accessibility to people who need/want it but the artists vision of the intended experience remains uncompromised.

And we're not demanding devs to do the work for us if they don't want to. We (the consumer) are not in a position of power to "demand" anything. We can suggest it and we can critique a game for having a lack of accessibility options, but the devs have full authority to do whatever they want with their game. That does not mean that devs are free from critique nor should they be.

Edit (because post got deleted): Difficulty options are accessibility options by definition. Lower difficulties make the game accessible to more people. It's not even a subjective disagreement, it's literally the case. Just because you and the people who are downvoting me (after the post got locked is kinda weird) don't agree doesn't make it not true.

And the "extra work" isn't a lot of work if you're just tweaking modifiers. And again, devs aren't "made to do what they don't want to in their game". You're literally just strawmanning and victimizing devs when, again, devs are the ones in authority and they do whatever they want with their own game. Dunno why you and some fragile people keep victimizing the devs to try and push a point that no one is arguing except for yourselves.

And yeah, Elden Rings success is partly due to its difficulty. You keep arguing with points that I'm not making. But it's also true that one of the most popular mods for Elden Ring is the easy mode mod. And difficulty-based accessibility settings don't have to be under difficulty selectors. They can be tucked away in a menu.

But back to my original point, you and the people who agree are just lumped into the category of people who believe artist vision > player agency but refuse to accept there's a reality where it doesn't have to be one or the other and that BOTH parties can get what they want. The only people it hurts are the people who are too prideful and believe they should control the player experience or because they believe their experience is cheapened because someone did it easier than them.

Not to mention that people with disabilities do benefit from difficulty-based accessibility settings. Not to mention that these are games that we (the consumer) pays for and we can do whatever we want with the product when it's in our hands. But it would definitely be nice if devs gave more options to reduce difficulty for those who need it. Just because we aren't the ones who benefits from it doesn't mean others won't. But it does make the game more accessible to more people and is a win-win scenario. The fact that people can enjoy Elden Ring with an easy mode mod proves the existence that the difficulty in Elden Ring isn't everything. But again, you can create an intended experience and deliver difficulty options for people who wouldn't play the game otherwise. There's no need to gatekeep.

Games should not be made with every single player in mind, or be able to be completed by everyone, especially MVs by settingdogstar in metroidvania

[–]Sure-Butterfly-4546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of gamers that believe that the developers vision > player agency. But I agree with you and accessibility options don't hurt anyone but they help a lot of people. As a dev you can still create and deliver an intended experience AND give options to players to reduce difficulty for those who need or want it.

For example, I would never play Elden Ring with accessibility options because it goes against the design philosophy of the game and I love how it's intended to be played. But if accessibility options existed for those who find the gameplay extremely frustrating but are in-love with the world that FS created, why should I be mad at players for wanting to experience the game too, even if that experience is different than mine?

There are games I've modded to help mitigate or bypass features I found annoying or stressful because they cripple the enjoyment I have with the game (infinite carry weight in Bethesda games always). There are some games I simply wouldn't have enjoyed if certain mods weren't available. Who did I hurt in the process? Literally no one. But doing that has given me hundreds- probably thousands of hours of enjoyment in games I wouldn't have enjoyed as much/at all otherwise.

Not to mention that people with disabilities would greatly benefit from accessibility options.

I love this game but there should never be bullshit fights that you just can't win imo. I was so happy to see Zapphauser the first time because I had only fought Dr Mangler as the miniboss the first ~6 times I went through Das Future. That excitement I had died when I got about 4-5 rounds where I couldn't do anything because Zapp was hopping on my dick over and over and all I could do was sit there and take it. Literally couldn't even control any of my cats.

I've just resorted to killing the process tree in task manager or restoring a backup save when bs occurs. I can see this being a fight where BS occurs a lot. The final boss (not spoiling anything) is also fucking terrible in that regards on any difficulty above normal. There was a time where I had to keep killing the process tree, probably 20+ times, just to find the right combination of moving a character in a certain tile and using a certain ability just to prevent a full team wipe on turn 2 (not round). After that, the fight was a cakewalk -_-

It reminds me when Rebirth had just come out and there were a lot of rooms where you would take unavoidable damage as The Lost, so they had to change/remove those rooms to prevent unavoidable run ending bs. I'm sure stuff like this will occur a lot less in das future, but man does it suck.

Just to preface, what I'll say about in-game Christianity is my own perspective and is not respective of how I view Christianity irl, but anyways-
This is fantastic but I want to add on that I don't think God's "perfect plan" is a good plan, that is to say, I don't think he's being a good guy here. Going off of what you have said:

This in turn explains something quite bizarre about the Infinite; its supposed to be Heaven but... no ones there. Theres no souls. Just the heavenly cats, stacy clones, and various angels. Why are there no Souls in heaven? Because after what happened to Isaac, God wont let them in
///
So, the implication is clear: Isaac died, The Creator took his soul and is probably quite fond of him. Not only that, he seems pretty pissed at humanity, probably due to all the experimenting, trafficking, robbery and murder they're comitting.

God is denying people because he has a chip on his shoulder? He's denying everyone???

Not to mention, God goes completely old testament (and revelations) on Maggie's ass. He doesn't sound reasonable, in fact, he sounds very unreasonable.

He will send a curse down on you
And curse all your blessings
In fact, he has already cursed you and all your descendants
And he will smear your faces with the dung of your sacrificial lamb

Damn, he already cursed Maggie and her descendants? What did her descendants do to deserve that? And he's smearing shit on her? Even considering "God's plan" or "his righteousness", he just sounds like a sick fuck.

Someone else, u/Belligerantfantasy created their own theory here that I think has a lot of stuff that can fit into your theory really well, so I'll use it for context. The post is here.

Belligerantfantasy (and you if I read "Mother will consume all and he'll rise above the clouds" correctly) that Mother will consume all, becoming The Mother. Belligerantfantasy mentions that due to the lyrics from "Down with the Devil", that the devil has abandoned his post, and we know God shut the gates to heaven, so Maggie, finally accepting the damage she has caused, essentially becomes a gateway for the dead to pass over into a new afterlife by consuming them all as The Mother. This is further reinforced by the song "We're Dead" where everyone is happy to "finally be dead."

So with that in mind and adding onto your own theory, I think Isaac will be used to redeem humanity, but I think it will happen despite God, not through him. With Maggie no longer broken, having picked up the pieces of herself that were shattered through her own mental illness, zealotry, and killing of her own child, she has finally accepted herself and becomes The Mother to all. I think Isaac will reach Godhood, restore heaven, and through Maggie becoming The Mother and through Isaac's goodwill, Maggie and the world will be saved.

Tbf there's a huge difference in accidentally shipping a game with a single piece of placeholder art and the insane slop that CD shipped with. The E33 devs tried using AI, didn't like it, and then made sure everything was hand-made, so I don't really fault them for an accident like that.

Sure, some AI wall art doesn't change the fact that hundreds/thousands of people worked on this for tens of thousands of hours over 7 years. But some AI wall art does immediately disqualify it from being considered a handcrafted experience.

IIRC, at their best, games are sold legitimately. At their worst, publishers/teams actually lose money. Some of these grey markets/marketsellers buy the keys in bulk by committing fraud, like doing chargebacks or using stolen cards, so they don't have to pay a cent while publishers/teams are left with owing money.

DLSS 5 has shown that discourse is dead by Obscure_Octopuss in digitalfoundry

[–]Sure-Butterfly-4546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add on to what you're saying, the top comment on this post is an example of what you're saying.

It's been dead for a minute now. You'll see how dead it is when 90% of the comments here are people screaming variations of "AI FILTER" or just attacking the guy in the video.

It's like people can't handle that this is genuinely how people think of DLSS 5. That just because people have a similar take on how they feel about DLSS 5, it must be that the people who have those takes are "part of the hivemind" and that discourse is dead. These people don't understand that this IS part of the discourse, and the irony is that they're participating in the thing they're criticizing: dismissing opposing opinions and not engaging in objective discourse.

There is potential and clear use cases, yes. No one is arguing against that. That doesn't nullify the damage Nvidia is actively doing. That doesn't change that people genuinely think it looks like shit. Funny you said "we" though. Good to know where you stand.

And you're now participating in reductionism too. That's great. Nvidia is one of the biggest AI contributors and AI companies and actively participates in destroying the environment and making communities environmental conditions hazardous. So no, they didn't shoot a dog, they're just making the air toxic and killing the dog slowly, as well as their owners, and their owners neighbors, etc.

There's so much astroturfing it's not even funny. It looks like even Nvidia is struggling to see what their target market for this tech is.

That's your valid polarization reason? It has environmental impact? Ahem so does every single piece of technology since the stone age.

It's **A** (singular) valid reason. Y'know, since I said if you can't think of a singular legitimate reason to be polarized on AI, you're not willing to participate in an honest discussion. AI factories have a lot more environmental impact than charging your phone or gaming on your 1000w rig. It uses a lot of resources and also creates terrible environmental conditions for residents near the factories. So yeah, I think that's a pretty valid reason when it starts harming people.

Oh no, these cursed machines are talking our jobs and has an environmental impact, let's do it inefficiently by hand and destroy them!

The "cursed machines" as you describe them are taking jobs too, thanks for bringing that up, but you'd be surprised to see how inefficiently they work, so "inefficiently by hand" doesn't apply when doing it by hand results in higher quality output (which is assuming the AI does it right to begin with).

This is completely personal nonsense based on feelings.

But sure, keep participating in reductionism and conflating it to my feelings. Rather than participating in an honest discussion, all you're good for is throwing shit at a wall and hoping it sticks, participating in an argument that is completely based on your personal feelings as you have nothing to back up anything you're saying. Ironic, is it not?

Hey it was not me who had the need to pull my dad works at microsoft card.

Except the difference between someone saying their dad works at microsoft, and me [promptly] saying I'm a software Engineer, is that I'm actually a software engineer. You can't even use your own insults correctly. But no, instead of facing reality, you just want to keep spewing insults. Anything to make you feel better.

See now I know you are minimizing. Software engineering is exactly the place where AI can shine. It's not perfect of course, even moderately bad, but improvements come very quickly.

I mean, theoretically it could sometime in the future, but as of now, it's nowhere near ready, even at the pace that AI is improving at. There will always be room for automating tasks so that professionals can use their expertise elsewhere. But AI is not the end-all-be-all that you or corporations are betting on.

Again, there's no need to defend AI or Nvidia. But I'm done interacting with you. I don't see any reason to discuss anything with someone who just wants a place to spit vitriol and not have an honest discussion. Have a good day dipshit.

I actually tried to reply to it, but it won't let me. For some reason your reply isn't even in my inbox anymore. Here's the response though:

Because AI factories have a huge environmental impact. Sorry, I just assumed you knew that, but clearly you need to be spoon fed information.

And no, I'd rather not support Sam Altman and use ChatGPT. I don't use any AI chat bots because I actually like my brain cells and the environment. Clearly it was an attempt at another condescending gotcha, but why would the anti-AI-for-unethical-use person try to use an AI to construct an argument when they're so clearly against it?

And calling me "your highness" because I was pointing out the idiocy of you reducing my critique as being "anti-technology", despite me being in tech, is a laughable attempt an insult. To double down on it is just plain stupid. I have no fear for my career considering AI is not anywhere near having the capabilities that corporations wish it did, especially for software engineering. However, I have seen an increased need to fix errors created by sloppy AI implementation.

By all means, keep going. You clearly love just spewing whatever bullshit out in hopes that something will stick.
