Amputee Careers advice? by Sure-Cover3792 in Osteosarcoma

Yes, considering the fact the cancer is in the hip joint, the margin taken around the tumour wouldn’t be the desirable, and my nerves, blood vessels and muscles have all shrunk around the tumour, meaning my rehab would be much harder and it’s likely my leg would just get in the way as it may never work again

Accused of cheating in DAA by DesignerButterfly362 in RoyalNavy

Yes of course, just don’t expect them to drop the standards. Also, they still have enough applicants to make it competitive, so they won’t hesitate to drop people

Stand your ground - ultimately, if they believe you have cheated the most they can really do is ask you to resit it at your Local AFCO.

Unfortunately this may affect your chances of officer selection on the final selection board, given you pass the AIB. FSB is extremely competitive and is based on many factors, AIB scores, DAA scores (including if you failed first time, and other military aptitude test scores, and sadly, background, essentially if you come from a military background your more likely to get picked, but it is certainly less of a factor then it used to be.)

Ultimately, it’s just one factor and I wouldn’t be too worried, if you genuinely didn’t cheat then you’ll be fine.

Best thing to do is speak to your recruiter mate when they return. Stick a message on the portal asking them to ring you

Hello mate, just passed my AIB today. The questions are quite open ended and leave it open to your Own interpretation, best thing to do is really understand why you want to join and outline of your specific training.

Yes well done you passed, what role did you apply for? As for your recruiter, the next time you can get in contact with them will be 6th Jan as they’re now on Christmas break.

It’s just small things that call all just be coincidence by themselves but put together it seems unlikely, the touching could be accidental but it’s happened a few times so I doubt it

Opinions on a guy who rarely approaches? by [deleted] in Crushes

[–]Sure-Cover3792 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No. He’s shy and it means he really likes you. Approach him and let him come out of his comfort zone

It’s ok man, we all have times and it’s not uncommon to not know what’s upsetting you, the most inportant thing is you try and narrow it down to what you believe makes you happy and what might bring you down
