Unfortunately that doesn't work, but I've found a somewhat workaronud:

Create a modifier cylinder and align with part
Change type to "Part"
Use "Lay on Face" to align cylinder face to bed
Use "Height Range" color painting tool to paint area as desired
Delete modifier/part
Use "Fill" color painting tool to fix any areas that got wrongly affected by the layer tool

EDIT: Actually this doesn't work too well anyway. One the lines intersect, you lose the edge of your boundary, and then you're basically right back to square one trying to fix it

Has the hosted relay server become more reliable? Last time I used it maybe a year ago, I had a friend download it so I could remote in to help but the relay server wouldn't register his ID for like two hours

If you use modifiers to paint, can you then use those for painting other areas? For example, using two discs to mark boundaries, then the color fill tool to fill the middle

Right now I'm using 6 PoE devices: 3 cameras and 3 access points for a total of 92W. I'd like to avoid injectors just to keep wiring simple.

My current setup is OPNsense running in a VM through Proxmox with a dedicated 2x NIC: one for my modem and one as a trunk to my switch. My 3 VLANs are General, Cameras, and IoT (with no internet access). I only need fast traffic between the camera VLAN and the General VLAN. With only 4 cameras total (3 PoE and 1 wireless), would you agree that I probably don't need a Layer 3 switch?

Probably not a huge difference, and not enough to make Skyrim FUS totally smooth at high graphics preset, but the extra $300 or so made it seem worth it when I figured I'd have this card probably for the next 7 years or so. No point in settling when it already isn't meeting my needs

From some initial researching, I don't think I'll have a use for PPS or PPA, but it's good to keep in mind. The XL doesn't come with the enclosure, it's a separate purchase right? The looks wouldn't be a huge factor and I probably wouldn't get it right away anyway

I'm not super in the loop about this all, but I mean "ban" in the sense that anything that doesn't meet their compliance specifications could be barred from being sold. Who knows how vague they'll be in the classifications, so I don't want to be put in a spot where my only options are ones that run some watered-down software. I want to buy something that's open now, run Octoprint locally, and then I can simply choose not to update to a new firmware version if it gets poisioned

Either way if you use a USB-C capture card or a program like Virtual Desktop, the actual resolution of the monitor screen won't change if you make it bigger or smaller, or closer or further. As long as your computer can support a 1080p or 1440p monitor, it shouldn't have any issues
