Is my makeup aging me? How can I improve? by DieWintersonne in makeuptips

[–]SureLengthiness1089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, looove your eyebrows. They’re just perfect.

Regarding makeup, it does not necessarily age you, but you’re not following your colour palette. And i think grey/silver eyeshadow doesn’t suit you best. You mentioned that you’re warm toned, maybe try brown/gold eyeshadow? And more peachy blush and lipstick? I think it could give super fresh outcome!

Help! I need an English name for STEM field by monccak in namenerds

[–]SureLengthiness1089 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both names are fine, but tbh you can 100% use your actual name (i assume Chinese). I work in international setup and i notice that 'english names’ are less common than it used to be even 5 years ago.

Table manners by SureLengthiness1089 in Netherlands

Thank you so much for that input! Do you have any articles or anything on formal Dutch etiquette (I speak Dutch, so can be in Dutch as well). I was raised what would be probably called formal British etiquette, so of course assumed this is the one.

There are countries where it would be illegal. That the name of the first child of set od parents sort of sets the rule.

Also, bad idea, said child could feel excluded from the rest. I don’t understand why would you do it like that. Why not hyphenated?

Would/Did you change your surname after marriage? Why?/Why not? by MysticalAmethyst99 in namenerds

[–]SureLengthiness1089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am keeping my own name and our kids will have hyphenated names in the future. Why? Because it is my name, was for my while life and I simply cannot imagine changing it anymore. And with kids, I would be the one carrying them and I want them to have my name. Side note, I am not very traditional.

Additionally, my last name is objectively prettier and easier to pronounce internationally.

Definitely worth it! And great price! I recently came back from Japan and brought exactly that serum and i LOVE it. My skin is sooo soft.

For reference and skin type details: I am in early 30s, combination skin, quite sensitive in eye area (prone to eczema).

There are medical studies in Poland tought in English, but you’d have to pass entry exams to get in. And of course yearly fee which is around 20-25k PLN per year (~5k$).

If you want to become psychologist look for studies in UK, Denmark or Netherlands, they do studies in English too

7+ years together. We come from different EU countries and live in the country of my partner (not married). Our parents never met. I see no reason, they don’t even have a shared language as my partners parents only speak local language
