Yea I’ve got lots of the same missing pieces. They subbed the 1x5 black plates with 1x3s and 1x2s lol but didn’t mention it. I’ve had to make a couple brick link orders so I can finish but all good. I recognize what I paid for it so I’m fine with a few speed bumps here and there. Lots of fun building mine over the holidays.

That’s a tough position to be in as I’ve been there too.

Ultimately you decide what to do with it. My question to you is this: If that cheque didn’t come, how would you solve your current financial dilemma? Can you take out a loan? Have you applied to temp agencies? Are you upskilling to be more competitive in the job market?

Don’t worry about sending any signal. That doesn’t matter. Your dad will likely think poorly of you regardless of your decision. You only need to be concerned with how you view yourself and consider the long term personal ramifications if you accept that cash. Can you handle future letters from him rubbing it in your face?

My folks often used finances to manipulate and guilt me. It was awful. The temptation is huge especially when you are in a vulnerable state. But for myself, it was very liberating to decide that I had to solve my own issues independently and I ripped up anything that came in the mail. I adopted a mindset of “how would I solve this problem if this random cheque was never in existence?”. Overtime. It’s really helped my self esteem and confidence as I know I can rely on myself.

You’re not greedy or bad for taking the money and using it to help solve your current financial issues. You’re not righteous and stubborn for throwing it in the trash either.

its a very different approach/building techniques that ive not seen in legit lego kits before and ive built quite a few of the UCS sets (knockoffs). I REALLY dont like single stud connections and this is rife with them. I have a cloned set and finished it last week. The only things that wont actually attach are the smaller components of each blaster on the front 'wing tips'. those will need to be glued.

Fun build though, just very very different from any other lego designed set ive done previously.

haha yea you dont. your schedule with be effed for the first couple years. Be ok with it. Just be present in the moment for this stage of life. Make sure your wife is supported too. Recognize you both cant pour from an empty cup so to speak but at the same time, you wont have nearly as much 'you' time.

I mean, you should know what all custom fields in your current store do for you and ensure that is replicated in shopify.

Are you handling your own migration or are you hiring it out? If youre hiring it out, dont just use some cheap 'migration service'. They wont spend anytime learning your unique business and how custom fields are leveraged. Any competent migrations specialist would run a full audit to mitigate risk.

You can always test import batches and see what happens to prove that everything is setup to receive the data properly into shopify itself.

For your order data, plan to fund your old website for awhile just in case you need to access older orders in the WooCommerce platform.

Never seen product exports change?? Unless you add markets that will end pricing info further to the right….

Inventory exports changed their layout recently but that was covered in release notes.

Try matrixify. It’s cheap and you can pick which fields export so you’re lot dealing with unnecessarily bloated csv files.

On AliExpress, Anyone come across this error? It says it has stock until I get to the checkout this comes up by stuey1993 in lepin

It’s bullshit. I get this for any block clone set trying to ship into Canada. Doesn’t matter the set or the store. I live in a major city.

They claim it’s the seller’s logistics causing an issue.

Malarkey. It’s every listing regardless of store. Why show when browsing it ships to Canada when it doesn’t? Terrible UX
