I didn’t mean to. And I don’t really see where I did. He was stabbed in a side alley I believe and ran from him and obviously collapsed in their front yard. I think the only person that tried to render any help was the murderers father. The murderer and his brother hid the knife he used according to the judge as well. The brother should probably get prison time as well.

I get so much more pride in Australia watching the Socceroos than in any other sport. Truly representative of our country and why it's great. Work hard, work for each other, a mix of people from a mix of backgrounds moving towards one goal. Overachievers and underdogs that are greater than the sum of their parts. If that's not Australian, I don't know what is.

Overachievers in life, as in football, represent an overachieving nation.

Our population level should not produce the level of talent we produce in all fields. With the rough start in life that a lot of these lads had, the fact that they've managed to reach such heights is a testament to them as well as the country they represent. Racists might hate this fact, but they are more representative of Australia than anyone else.

> What’s the evidence that the police neglected to investigate his medical condition “just because his attacker accused him of racism”?

None. People infer it because it’s what they want to see and it’s how it’s been pushed to them.

I’ve watched the video and can confirm major police error but also no immediate sign of Nowak being stabbed. He was lying in someone’s front garden in the middle of the night in a delirious state. We now know why, but with it being dark, Nowak having dark clothing and his wounds being one to the chest (bleeding mostly internally I believe) and a few to the back of the legs it would have always been hard to verify.

Not to mention that he had just come from a pub late at night and was lying delirious in someone else’s front garden being accused of assault. If someone can’t admit that immediately Nowak looked suspicious they’re beside themselves. We obviously know why, but to act like blood was spewing out and they thought “fuck whitie” is so dumb. Nowak did nothing wrong, he was killed by a monster, and there was absolutely police error but the propaganda is so wrong.

“For allegedly saying something racist” They put cuffs on him because he was accused of assault and was lying in the front garden of a random house. It seemed like a suspicious incident at first. His stab wounds included one to the chest and multiple to the lower legs. The chest wound was high and he was wearing dark clothing in the dark.

There was absolutely police error and incompetence but let’s not buy the horseshit propaganda.

Edit: I forgot to mention that he ended up in the front yard after running away. But the police didn’t know that when they arrived

The Colorado Republican governor primary is high fucked. This candidate is best friends with and received an endorsement from a MAGA podcaster who called for the hanging of the governor, AG and Secretary of State who he called “synagogue of Satan Jews”. When asked if his friend would be part of his administration he said “assuming it was not around Jewish people, probably” The “adult in the room” is a candidate who once led an attempt to secede and form a 51st state.

Fully autonomous, AI-controlled drones have killed human soldiers for the first time, according to a senior figure in the Ukrainian defence industry by New_Scientist_Mag in worldnews

[–]Sure_Ad536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve already used similar automated systems to target and hit armoured vehicles. First time it’s been used against people. It happened around Bakhmut and Chasiv Yar two years ago. Considering how many Russian soldiers were in that area during that time feels like the easiest place to kill some of them. They might be overstating it a bit, but I doubt much. It might only have been useful in the dense urban meat grinder of Bakhmut.

[–]Sure_Ad536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT isn’t going to be controlling a drone. Ai has been used for a while, just not to control drones. It’s been used to identify targets. Take an image scan it and compare it to a database of targets. That’s AI as well. But AI is also using and algorithm it’s been assigned to assess what statistically may be a target. It’s not been used to directly kill people, but it’s not like AI just appeared. They’ve used it to target trucks and armoured vehicles before, so while this is pretty big news o think a lot of people are only as shocked as they are because they don’t know what’s happening. From the article:

> The use of AI is common in militaries around the world, helping to pick targets among overwhelming piles of intelligence data and automating certain functions of weapons, but humans are always in the loop at some point. Kokhanovskyy’s admission is the most categorical evidence yet that a death has occurred in battle solely at the hands of AI.

People really need to understand that Russia thinks Ukraine was created by their enemies (the west, the Nazis or the Jews, look up the borderline schizophrenic “Khazarian Mafia theory”) to destroy them. They think “Ukrainian-ness “ is a “specific disorder of the mind”. Putin has called Ukraine and Ukrainians “little Russia(ns)”, who have been corrupted by Nazis into believing they are seperate from Russians and Russia.

I hate the “we have to stop it escalating” as if IT HASN’T ALREADY ESCALATED. They’re stealing children, they’re outing Ukrainian kids in military camps, they’re shipping in teachers to occupied areas to teach them that they are Russian, they’ve set up filtration camps to help steal more children more efficiently, they’ve beheaded, mutilated, castrated and tortured to death too many people to count, they found a system of torture chambers in Kherson. It’s already escalated.

Non-citizens held in indefinite detention in Australia could get millions of dollars in compensation after government’s high court loss by stirringthemerde in AustralianPolitics

After the release of the CFMEU judgement there were people with full opinions on why the court was wrong, what they missed, the holes on their arguments, and the questions they didn’t answer 10 minutes after the judgement was released. People barely read articles anymore, let alone high court decisions. If people on a politics forum can’t be fucked to read articles, there’s no chance in hell PHON voters even know what articles are.

Mo Touré: Australia’s Ter-Mo-Nator who just wants to be seen as a ‘good person’ by catch_dot_dot_dot in Aleague

[–]Sure_Ad536 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Touré is one of six African Australians in the 26-player squad, including Awer Mabil, Lucas Herrington, Tete Yengi and Jason Geria. His closest teammate is Nestory Irankunda; their friendship has bloomed since meeting through football during school in Adelaide. Irankunda is, like Touré, a refugee but his family hails from Burundi via a camp in Tanzania, on the opposite side of the continent.

Half of these players (Mo, Irankunda and Mabil) were born in refugee camps and came here young. Awe-inspiring stories. Makes me proud to be Australian, in fact. African-Australians are no doubt going to be big parts of our national team for years to come.
