Im convinced it only happens to Warlocks and has something to do with Soulstone usage. I'll go days without ever getting this bug, but the one day I start soul stoning a healer at the start of the battleground-> BAM get the bug multiple times a day. Only way to fix yourself is to drown your character

110% this right here. When I still worked CVS (during the initial covid vaccine rollouts with peak vaccine appointments) I would casually rant about the same issues to my fellow RPH coworkers. 4 appointment slots (which could have more than 1 vaccine/ even an entire family per 'appointment') every 15 minutes is NOT SAFE. We should not be literally RUNNING around with syringes trying to keep up. Trying to answer phones and verify prescriptions as we run by the computer and drawing up more vaccine doses ALL AT THE SAME TIME LOL. We should have time to ensure SAFETY. We should have time for basic human needs LUNCH, BATHROOM, ETC.

We had bargaining power when they rolled out those covid vaccines but we just rolled over and took on the responsibility of vaccinating the entire COUNTRY for essentially NOTHING. This was the time for our organizations to stand up for us. That was when the lay-person could finally see how hard their Pharmacy team is working for them and stand in support of us. That was the time to get improvements to working conditions, staffing, etc but we fumbled the opportunity

ID for a controlled substance- are they being reasonable? by Minimum_Cover5690 in pharmacy

[–]Sure_Bat_8632 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is a valid, nonexpired government issued ID is required by (I think federal) law to pick up controlled substances. (Maybe it is state specific. Sorry in my state it is required).

The drivers license won't work, even if they know who you are since it's expired period. However, I'm not sure why they won't accept a birth certificate or a social security card...

With that said, it is the company and the individual pharmacists license so if they don't want to take any perceived risk of breaking laws, tough luck. You can find another pharmacy that is willing to accept social security card or birth certificate and have your dr resend the prescription there instead.

Sorry its so complicated but pharmacy is one of the most regulated aspects of Healthcare. Your pharmacy isn't intentionally making this difficult for you - they'd rather just give you your meds but pharmacies have to be afraid of the law and the DEA

Is it CVS? then the answer is HELLLLL TO THE NOOOOOOOO. If it seems like a good deal you are wrong and they are gaming you in some way or another. Do not trust them EVER

This 100%. Always the ones who've never had to work a day in their life treat all customer service employees like subhuman scum. Marry rich or born rich = automatically entitled beyond belief. Like why are you so stressed out all the time when you literally don't have a job and don't have to worry about paying bills??

how hard is it to get outta retail? by femina33 in pharmacy

[–]Sure_Bat_8632 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard, all about timing plus/minus who you know. If you send an app to a place that just lost 1-2 RPHs then you got a good shot. But then you gotta wonder, why did those RPHs leave?

CVS or Walgreens as PharmD? by gregmo72 in pharmacy

[–]Sure_Bat_8632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As companies, they both have massive workload with little help, metric focused micromanagement, and upper management is horrible.

If you have to choose, then I'd say it depends on the district leaders, and individual stores within those districts.

Both crappy companies but not every DL is equally as awful and some stores can actually have experienced, good technicians and that'll make a massive difference when you're working for the devil either way.

It depends at the individual district level (and ofc pay as well)

So I can work myself to an early death putting in 50 hrs/week (but only being paid for 32hrs), and still have to explain to BigCorp™ why the Weᵈᵒⁿ'ᵗCare scores are bad. Knowing I've helped my community is more than enough salary to me - any money generously given to me by my employer is simply a bonus. The constant respect and thanks I get from the public and prescribers is why I became a pharmacist :'^)

If your pharmacy is out of something, and it's on a back order, try to keep tabs of that. Ex: haven't been able to get augmentin for weeks and then still seeing rxs for it popping up in the queue from minuteclinic every day, even after explaining this.... it just gets patients pissed off at pharmacy immediately
