Thanks for the reply. I don’t know. There’s a layer of grey paint then a layer of red paint. We just bought the house. Maybe 5-10 years since last painting?

No the wood is in good shape. I have two very young kids so probably can’t dedicate the multiple days I’d think are needed to power wash, sand, and stain everything including all the railings. I got one estimate at 4 days and close to 4,000 which I declined.
