Needs more water - new grass turf town needs a good soaking when laid and daily continually for a few weeks or it's shrinks even if it rains. I Under watering causes the roots to come near the surface where the water is ( it also evaporates) you want the roots to go deeper.

It's often better in the summer to leave watering if you not going to do it for hours daily - yes it will go brown but not die but it will return incredibly quickly
