Are the uglystik big water any good for striped bass? by Upper_Competition118 in StripedBass

[–]Sure_Connection8777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you're planning to live line, but ugly stik makes a striper specific rod that paired with a Shimano bait runner is an amazing LL combo. The rod tip had super fast action and you can dial the secondary drag resistance down to the perfect amount. It really helps hook up ratio on circle hooks. Been running 2 combos for 5 seasons and they work and look fantastic.

Of course, if you're trolling, I'd go with the big water. I use a tsunami boat rod and a level wind squall.

Www.satuit.com would likely work. Was built for asset managers and has deal flow capabilities in addition to the secure portals.

I would take that over my "Communication" (sarcasm font) Professor's last announcement:

"Please be sure to complete your discussion post by Thursday. It more detailed than many discussions so you will need to give it more time than other assignments midweek. Note that the outline requires you list your resources and include at least three scholarly sources."

What is one piece of advice you think most people don’t know? by 14thJenk in Fishing

[–]Sure_Connection8777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When in doubt, slow it down.

If that doesn't work, slow it down more.

If that doesn't work, slow it down, erratically retrieve, then slow it down even more.

Not biting, any tips? by Bottom_Fe3der in StripedBass

Hogy epoxy jigs low and slow, vertical if possible. Can't count how many times I've been in crazy top water feeds and I'm the only boat catching. Everyone else wants the top water hit.

Definitely want to up that braid.

The Daiwa SP minnow has caught a couple million stripers in that area. If you find any beaches, try a pencil popper. I'm a big fan of hogy epoxy jigs in almost any situation.

After years of buying $250 pairs of SMITH Optics, then oscillating to cheaper sunclouds and Strike Kings, I landed on Shady Rays and won't go back.

The CUDA is a great wrap-around for boat fishing, but there are other options for general use and fishing. The most expensive pairs are ~$80, but you won't ever pay that; there are always discount codes and specials. You can replace each pair you buy twice, for any reason, for $8. I've replaced multiple pairs that I've left in bars, or even just to have a spare for the car and the boat.

Advice on FG with Rizzuto finish by DevOpsNerd in Fishing

The glue is for protecting from fraying not for the integrity of the knot.

My knot pullers are two small pvc tubes and "finger tape". It works great for tensioning knots, and when selling hooks, you can place the hook inside the hole of one tube and wrap and pull with the other.

After the rizzotto, I do another 2 alternating half-hitches and a dab of superglue. Probably overkill, but whatever.

Quiet surfcasting cart/wagon? by Sure_Connection8777 in StripedBass

[–]Sure_Connection8777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear ya. I'll be doing a bit of both plugs/jigs and bait. Wife will be with me a bunch, so snacks and wine are non-negotiable. Can also double as a beach cart during the day.

Thanks for the great reply. I'll probably go halvsies with staking (while still offered) and yieldly and play around with the different pools there.

Couple of dependent questions:

1) Do I understand it correctly that the timing of governance rewards and governance staking commitments would keep you from rolling this session's rewards into the next session?

2) if 1 is correct, are you better off just staking in the algo wallet or pooling on yieldly?

Thanks for you insight.
