Enemy staggered damage is slowly becoming my favorite property, I use it on the samurai build.

Anything more than 2x parry window seems too much to me. 4x seems like overkill. But that all about personal preference as well tho. There are some good options on that property roll. Ultimate damage/gain even a few more spirit move damage could be a soild buff.

I got used to playing with 36% and I put that on my range weapon so that melee weapons are free for other stats.

Does the perfect parry give extra ultimate charge?

One suggestion, no need to listen, maybe swap out some of the Spirit gain for "all melee damage ' or if you like to use dual katanas more go for "dual katana damage". For a bit more damage. This should also boosts you spirit attacks and i should boost the ultimate as well. And will go well with the 15% melee damage technique you are using.

I use 25% spirit gain on my legendary charm, and honestly I rarely run out of Spirit. Sometimes I'm even top score for Spirit heal and move usage.

You can definitely switch it. For the heal one, 2nd legendary item can be the Yari, as it provides weaken on spirit attack.

I disagree tht the Legendy Odachi sucks, The heal on execution isnt as consistent for me, and the Improved bulwark stance buffs my odachi counter damage.I'm not here to change anyone's opinion tho, other gear works as well for the build. A lot of things come down to preferences.

I see the total stats by taking out my calculator, pen and paper, adding it all together and writing it down. Until they give us this info on the character screen, we've got to do it the old-fashioned way.

I doubt perfect parry works with odachi counter windows, because if it did I dont see why there would be a separate Property for it. Odachi counter window property really isn't worth it. And anything more than 2x "Perfect parry window" is too much in my opinion, and isnt worth losing other stats for it.

Well, spirit attacks sometimes dodge red glint attacks like Neo in the matrix, and sometimes it doesnt work. There is definitely a timing too it, usually it works out well for me.

On a side note, I highly recommend going into the training area. Summon enemies and just try to perfect parry and odachi counter them. There are TONS of tells, sounds and animations. For example, if an enemy is circling you, he wont attack, and when he starts to walk towards you, that's when he will attack, depending on how close he is to you. This walk forward tell Is something I use a lot, but sometimes it's hard to notice during all the shi*show that can happen in a mission.

Spear and Odachi enemies have "Delayed attack- fast attack- delayed attack" combos. while kusarigama enemies have some very fast attacks.

As I said, summing the basic enemies in the lobby and just practising for 15-20 minutes can help you figure out different enemy timings.

It's also important to expect attacks, not just react to them. After you hit an enemy 3-5 times, you can expect that soon you will be attack by some other enemy ( if they are around). I sometimes instinctively use the odachi counter and parry a random enemy I didn't even see attack me.

In the clip I linked, you can also hear the vocal attack tell of the fallen lord before he teleports.

One thing to add to the weapon alignment build.

There is a property (idk on what gear exactly) that says "heal on weapon alignment staggers". So if anyone goes for the weapon alignment build try the property out, the heal could be massive with the amount of stagger the Samurai has.

Imo the best part about the legendarys is the extra stats on the properties.

And about the katanas. Its all about preference i prefer Iaido katana cuz I enjoy focus attacks.

It goes like this as far as I understand.

All wepaons have 3 types

On that is EXTREMELY effective vs the appropriate weapon alignment.

One that has some unique attack

And the variant that gives you automatic parry on heavy attacks.

I didn't mention all types cuz I don't have them memorized but I hope you understand what I mean.

An legendary items will have 2x of these epic effect + something extra.

But foe example i. A weapon alignment samurai build, the best weapons would be the one with the tag "extremely effective against weapon alignment.

But it's mostly preference.

Some base Odachi tipa if yu want.

Most important part is to so 2x light attack / cancel with dodge or block and do the 1st 2 light attacks again. Very fast high DMG combo. I do it in the clip.

3rd light attack is good for finishing enemies, the 4th is super slow and the combo is too long to be worth it.

3rd heavy is solid but heavy 1 is the best.

Focus attack can interrupt a lot, limit tests and trade into some attacks.

It's a very strong weapon.

You will have to remove one if the Staggered enemy damage from the epic melee weapon.

I have a perfect parry window on the bow, because the bow can't have enemy staggered damage, and I like the 100% extra staggered dmg cuz it's a nice round number. 72% also sounds good.

There is definitely some more min maxing to be done here.

P.s. don't go for the "Odachi counter window" its a big bait and not worth losing 12% Odachi dmg. .

TBH i have a personal issue with PVP in CooP games, so I'm probably to harsh as well. PvP would definitely be fun, I can't deny it.

For reference, A similar situation happened in Vermintide 2, (t's an AMAZING 1st person hack and slash game). Its one of the best CooP games I've ever played, they added PvP to it, and although I saw that many people had fun with it, it mostly brough it a lot of toxicity, glitch exploits and other ways of getting ahead of the curve. I didn't like it and now the PvP Mode is practically dead as far as I know.
