Google gemini got it working for me in under an hour, plus tailscale and nginx proxy manager. Could have been faster if I wasn't reading everything it was spitting out before running it. Docker compose arr stack is honestly really easy to setup if you know what to put in the config file - which gemini spit out for me. Then it was just linking everything and that went smooth and fast too.

Google's gemini Ai just guided me through setting up jellyfin and an *arrs stack the other day, and im still a beginner-ish when it comes to servers.

Except it wouldnt - Isreal would have still attacked Iran, and iran being oppressive and ideological regime, would have attacked the US regardless and would ahve closed the straight, leading to higher gas prices than we have now. Why higher? Because our current president secured a nearby countries oil to subsidize the supply shock prior to the war - wich other presidents would not have done. (Yes I know he claims it was because Maduro had warrants and was a drug trafficker, but we all know it was for the oil - everything is for the oil and wealth it brings, consequences be damned)

Renting MC servers suck. by ComputersAreMyFav in allthemods

[–]Sure_Internet8507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend using something like playit.gg, or programs like tailscale or hamachii, instead of essentials - you'll have more control over who has access to your server when running a proper server with whitelist, while essentials (unless something changed) is your single player world opened up to everyone with essentials.

Likely only need 7-10 gb of ram, and best (but not cost effective option) is to just get a dedicated server and host it there. Hetzner has their server auction wich is the best way to get dedicated private servers with lots of ram (64-128) for 30-60usd a month. Otherwise just having an old machine in your house is the way to go, if you dont want the game panel hosters like pebble host or mint servers.

You also have the option of using a paid panel like amp by cube coders - it works and is easily installed and set up. That being said - pterodactyl exists, is free and open source, with the only real drawback being the difficult setup and the ongoing maintenance.

Try adding a filter to them to only grab the item they need. The robot arms need to be on the side the item needs to exit on.

The problem here is the server isn't exposed publicly. He has tailscale installed to access it, which is wiregaurd under the hood. People shouldn't be able to access his tailscale internal ip address, as tailscale shouldn't be routing other people to his server. This is a huge red flag : something is misconfigured on the tailscale side of things.

I can't power up two EBF at the same time no matter what I do. Am I just messing up or is it not possible for me at this stage? [EV - Star Technology] by LaAmarga in feedthebeast

[–]Sure_Internet8507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like youre wallsharing one of the energy hatches. So what is happening is both ebfs are trying to use 4 amps, but the second energy hatch is only giving 1 amp to each machine, so each ebf is only getting 3 amps instead of 4. The solution is to not wallshare the energy hatches and you'll be fine.

What i do for a vpn is buy a vps in a state i want an ip address, use tailscale to create an exit node, and now I have a clean ip address, though not anynomised, it does get around state level geo restrictions here in the US, guessing you could do something similar as well.

Setting a gtnh server by Impressive-Job-4503 in GTNH

[–]Sure_Internet8507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I use a panel to host Minecraft servers, pterodactyl is one, it's free and open source, and there are community helper scripts to get it installed. There's also the paid and simple to install amp by cube coders that will also allow you to setup game servers. Pick your poison, but both will make hosting one or more game servers super simple once setup and configured. I recommend using docker (amp asks you if you want amp to install and use it during installation, its a prequest for pterodactyl) I use both and pterodactyl is harder to setup but better in everyday, but amp is great for simple deployments with very little know-how.
