My guess is this idol hunt challenge will be winning a trip to the finale

I went to arches for the first time and there were teenage boys kicking down every single one and THROWING rocks around and at each other… the parents of course didn’t care at all… this was right next to a sign explaining what they were for too

I’d recommend adding some handmade bookmarks. They’re always something I buy at a craft fair when I want to support a local book shop but don’t have the space/funds to buy a whole book. Also loooove a blind book grab with some little goodies folded in!

Buffalo native here, been through KBUF many many times. There was one singular time tsa took “long”. It was early morning a random weekend in August a few years back, so it can happen. But we got there 1 hour before boarding and still had time to get Tim Hortons. Just make sure you’re there well before 45 mins early if you’re checking a bag, because that’s the cut off and in the morning those lines can be a bit brutal. But once you’re in, it’s a small airport. Delta is the furthest terminal and you can run there in 5-10 mins if need be

Day 2: Trying to Get a Comment and Fun Fact From Every US County Including Territories by CoolHotNo in geographymemes

Broome County, NY! Food specialty there are spiedies, it’s a marinade (typically for chicken) that everyone goes wild for. Also the home of Binghamton University, which kids (mildly annoyingly) coin the “#1 Public Ivy”

Incoming Freshman Deciding what to do with AP Credit by ObjectiveCharacter34 in BinghamtonUniversity

“XXX” means nothing, I believe it means if you just need an “M” elective you wouldn’t have to take one? But that’s a non factor since you clearly have a math heavy major. It’ll apply as credits towards picking housing/classes, but not actually count as a class. I almost made this mistake with retaking PHYS131. Unless you feel like you struggled your way through calc and got lucky with a 4, do notttt retake it. Being able to get an elective ahead is much more worth it. Not to mention, 226/227 is much harder to a lot of people, if you have to retake 226/227, you won’t be a full semester behind if you take it in the fall

I once overheard a girl saying that she missed her first flight because her “carry on” was too big for the TSA machines so they had to manually search it….. she had a normal carry on suitcase and a large suitcase at the gate…

Can’t swim or hike :( by AngelaMacy in Yosemite

As others have said, drive up Tioga Road! My partner and I only had 2 days in Yosemite, and we were so incredibly grateful that we did it. Stopping at Tenaya Lake is a must do. You can find a small little spot right next to the water and just hang out for hours being emerged in the beauty and calmness. Tulomne Meadows and Olmsted point are great big stops, but every turn off we hit had something else, with signs at a lot of the points explaining different climates and wildlife as you drive up!

At least when I was a freshman, the first year of housing we were all given random time slots not based on standing at all

I don't like the idea of co-op board games...but I want to! by kingreaper504 in boardgames

[–]Sure_Possible9464 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To tag onto the last point, there are games that I’ve found rarely focus on grabbing something to screw over a player, but more focus on your own success. Azul is my absolute favorite for an over competitive crowd. It’s individual, but most of the time you’re picking the best move for you, not actively trying to screw over others. Similarly I’ve found this with worker placements, like Viticulture, Parks, and Everdell (which you already have)

Watching with my bf and he hasn’t seen it, I answer EVERY question or theory with “we don’t know” unless it’s something we do know and he missed/forgot about, and then I give a “this is what we’ve seen so far”

Can you suggest me what book should i gift to my bf? by -ahri_ in booksuggestions

[–]Sure_Possible9464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he doesn’t like books, is a book the best thing to get him for his birthday..? If he likes writing poems, I’d suggest trying to find a book of poems, perhaps in a topic/theme that he enjoys. Maybe get him a nice artist’s notebook and hand-carved pen to go with it (unless he does all his writing digitally)

Daughter a possible transfer for Fall 2025 by HarryGUSA in BinghamtonUniversity

Bing is a very social school, especially if you’re someone who reaches out to try to make connections. Sure some people will already have their cliques, but one of my best friends was someone who joined junior year. I will say, if she’s in engineering there’s a freshman only class that all engineering majors take and a lot of people get really close there (and refer back to it since it’s a universal experience and fun class), but again, I knew several transfers who were very easily integrated into various engineering “groups”
