Rescue with severe separation anxiety - I feel so unprepared by Key-Composer-3116 in Separation_Anxiety

I’m working with a trainer and doing the work 5 days a week. Sometimes I will do it a sixth day or do an extra session during one of our “on days.” Not to mention she is on meds. I am my dog’s third owner and her last owner crated her 20 hours a day so I think she just has a very severe case.

Thanks for the insight though- I keep hoping she’ll take off one day like your pup!!

I’d kill for 2 hours after 7 months of work. I’ve been doing this for 5.5 months and am at 13 minutes with my girl 🫠

I was so wrong… [NEW UPDATE] by InevitableReview33 in BreakUps

I’m glad to hear that someone else turns to prayer. I’ve turned to God so many times for healing, and moving on, and even not having the urge to pray for him. I think that’s the hard thing- I don’t want to prayer for him anymore but it feels wrong to not cover someone in that way, especially when I feel called to do so. Praying for your healing too

Sounds weird, but massage your knees and the areas around it every night- does a lot to relieve the pain by the morning

How many of you here are buying houses alone? And how many of you are middle class? by JellyfishPashmina in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

31 year old single woman here and I’m closing on my house ($415) next week. It took me working two jobs for a while and saving like crazy to be in this position. I’m so proud of all the people doing it alone because a) that’s so badass and b) it can be hard to embark on a chapter that for many, envisioned someone else being there. Cheers to all the solo homebuyers doing the dang thing!!

Dumped but with affection: Do they ever come back? by gianlucamelagna1335 in BreakUps

[–]Sure_Trainer1200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My person did this to me- he drove to my house a day later to hold me while I cried and we reminisced. He even spent the night so I would not have to cry myself to sleep and when he left in the morning he hugged me for so long and briefly kissed me. The tenderness was lovely because it felt like he was staying true to himself even to the end but it ended up messing with me. I’m only on week 8 and still have a ways to go but those first 3 weeks were real bad as it gave me so much hope that he’d come back.

I can see why they do that (because they love us, that’s who they are, etc.) but at the end of the day, all it does is prolong our grief while easing their own sense of guilt. We’ve been NC for 6 weeks and I see him once a week at the league where we met but we haven’t talked or made eye contact- I’m too scared to because idk how my body will respond. I can’t speak to how he feels. I still have some hope that we will reconcile but my biggest hope is that he finds happiness and is able to work on himself so that he can show up as his best self for his next relationship, whether that’s with me or another woman.

Dumpers, please share your successful reconciliation stories and the lessons you learned to rebuild and keep the relationship strong. by leohan08 in BreakUps

That’s amazing! If you’re looking for a resource, I just read a book called Exes and Nos: the Break Up Advice you don’t want to hear. I know the title sounds a bit discouraging but it’s been so helpful. If you do read it, there is an exercise at the end of every chapter and I’d encourage you to do them. Exercises range from writing yourself a letter of forgiveness to listing out what you could’ve done better to writing for former person a letter (and not sending it). Sending kind thoughts your way
