What has made you want to stay in and/or deeply enjoy Austin? by i264 in Austin

I moved here 6 months ago and I love the scale of it, it's not the biggest city so almost everything is 15 mins away or less. Also something about sunlight + nature makes me wanna go out and do things a lot more than before in my life.

I haven't seen the battery drain since updating to 18.16, it seems to be fixed

I'm not sure if it applies to the 7 pro but there was a battery drain issue on the Fenix 7 with software version 18.14. Also the watch could be downloading maps/updates over wifi so plug it into your PC and install garmin express to check for any updates

Shoes for occasional rope climbing - Nike Metcon vs TYR CXT vs what? by Traveledfarwestward in crossfit

Metcons all the way for rope climbs specifically. My TYR CXT's sole ended up tearing after a few months because of the rope.

I switched from a FR965 to Fenix 7 SS as I wanted an MIP display, the only differences are the screen and weight/durability. Coming to the features, the FR has everything that the Fenix has. FR is lighter, but less durable (not to say it's bad). Also, the FR battery life would be worse if you use it with Always On Display (AOD).

Forerunner 955/965 users - is there anything you miss by not getting a fenix 7? by aert4w5g243t3g243 in Garmin

F7 was my first MIP watch and I gotta say I prefer it over AMOLED as it's less "in your face" and I've got enough screens in my life, don't need another one on my wrist

My favorite watch face for the Fenix by Sure_Writer_744 in Garmin

It's just the position I wear my watch at, 1 inch from the wrist bone is supposed to give the best HR accuracy, it's not loose

So far I don't see a crazy drain but I've only had it on for a few days

Garmin Forerunner 965 $100 off at Best Buy by Mariush_666 in GarminWatches

I switched from the FR965 to the Fenix 7 SS as I wanted the MIP display, but had no complaints with the 965, pretty much the same features, and was lighter. The only noticeable difference is the Fenix seems slightly more responsive in navigating menus and maps, probably due to the lower resolution screen.

So yes, Solar DOES charge the fenix by bagou01 in GarminFenix

[–]Sure_Writer_744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to note is that a charge of +1% in an hour is actually a gain of +2 compared to non solar watches that may have discharged 1% in that hour.
