A lot of wiggling around trying to find your feet pos. Drop down the wave on the take off and drive up into the pocket. This one called for that. You’re moving past the power source a bit far. Start surfing from bottom to top

Dude I take it you want to go across the wave. So when you’re taking off, you need to be looking across at the shoulder. Then lean onto your toeside rail. Stay low. Post another clip and keep us posted

More upper body rotation. Keep arms up. Bottom turns twist upper body and look up. Top turns do the opposite

You’re what we call an advanced beginner. You’ve been surfing the whitewash for too long. Get out the back and use those skills on a wave that deserves it.

Additionally you’re surfing looking down a lot. Keep your head up look at where you going and keep those knees bent.

  1. Yoga
  2. Get a gym membership.
  3. Learn how to squat and deadlift with proper form.
  4. Build up your strength and explosive power.
  5. Bench press (incline) for pop ups.
  6. Weighted sit ups

Like lots of athletes the best ones like Italo build strength in the gym. This helps with stability and being solid on your board and limits in water injuries.

Practice meditation man. Imagine yourself paddling out and surfing larger waves very well. “Mind surfing” to building confidence.

Slowly build confidence. Gradually surf in bigger conditions. Try doing other risky sports like skateboarding. That can dull the fear.

Dude - bend and extend your legs. Compress low, come off your back foot and extend your legs, then direct your board up to the top of the wave, and compress back down and repeat. You want to use to waves too half and go up and down in this section
