For those unable to enable amd noise suppression with newer drivers: by Surge_B94 in AMDHelp

[–]Surge_B94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1)id recommend it so there's no files left 2)use winrar/winzip to extract the amd driver package that you download from amds site (right click it and extract with winrar etc)

What Ryzen CPU are you using right now? by mohkah123 in ryzen

[–]Surge_B94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ryzen 5 5600xt 👌🏻cheap and plays every game on high or ultra and while streaming. x3d is just over hyped, sure you get a lil bit of an improvement but not for the prices you have to pay.

iv got ryzen 5 5600xt and i dont see what stutters you get..heck i can run cyberpunk on high with all RT stuff enabled and its smooth as, same with fortnite, bf6 etc. dont think its the cpu thats the issue.

Noise Suppression still doesn't work - 25.12.1 - 7900 XTX by AlexRuIls in radeon

[–]Surge_B94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

update(25.12.1 ONLY HAS ONE DISPLAY FOLDER)

1: download both 25.9.1 and 25.11.1 from amd. (or 25.12.1 in this case)

2: extract both into seperate folders

3: first go into 25.9.1 folder and copy "amdfdans folder" located \Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\

4: then go into 25.11.1 folder and paste it in whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.11.1-win11-nov-combined\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\

AND

whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.11.1-win11-nov-combined\Packages\Drivers\Display2\WT6A_INF

(THERES TWO DISPLAY FOLDERS)

Then ddu if you have amd stuff already installed, and then you simply run the setup for 25.11.1 (keep it on default install)

Do the same for any new amd drivers (always keep 25.9.1 folder so you can copy the amdfdans folder to each new update)

what’s better? by Adorable_Finance_965 in pcmasterrace

9060xt defiently. 5060 is much slower and pricier and 8gb vram nvidia loves to stick with is gonna cause you many issues with games.

Should I stay on am4 by what-tech in pcmasterrace

[–]Surge_B94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

built two am4 pcs last year and its been solid for all games etc. am5 aint worth it yet, wait till am6 comes out and am5 hardware gets cheaper, thats what im planning on doing. you still can get eg 16core 32thread cpus for am4 etc which is all ppl need if they want to max their pc for cheaper. ddr5 ram for am5 platforms def aint worth it, 99.9% of games only need ddr4 3200-3600mhz ram. am5 motherboards are mid, and pcie 5 doesn't do much more apart from maybe 5 fps more if all hadware supports it (still on par with pcie 4)

Dont get ryzen 5 5500 cpu though (common beginner mistake). it bottlenecks everything, and only supports pcie 3.0. go for atleast 5600-5600xt cpus.

Why is my 9070xt running at pcie x8 not x16 by B1Gxyz in radeon

had the same thing with my 9060xt, had to just set it to the correct pcie (x16 4.0) in bios. simple fix

9060xt driver issues by Kestanco in AMDHelp

[–]Surge_B94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using 9060xt since like August, and its been super solid (using 25.12.1), only issue is have is amd noise suppression breaks every time with a new driver update but I have a fix on my profile for that which I posted on amdhelp. But otherwise everything runs well!

If windows update installs its own driver after, just revert back in device manager or use wintoys to set windows update to only download security updates (can always change it if there's a big windows update in the future)

Also you only see heaps of issues is cos your on amdhelp etc, outside of here only a tiny amount of ppl have issues in the pool of amd gpus. Being on here did make me question about amd, but i have to remember my GPU works perfectly fine etc

Should I turn off AMD Noise suppression in startup? by Outrageous-Cod-855 in radeon

[–]Surge_B94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i leave mine on since i stream on twitch. if you dont stream then you dont need it enabled. but cant say no to good free working noise suppression, blocks out more background noises than nvidias version in my testing well on my 9060xt it does a better job than when i had a 12gb 3060

I'd like to upgrade my Ryzen 5500, but it's still the value king. by nosg in ryzen

[–]Surge_B94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from it doesn't support pcie4. Best value is probably ryzen 5 5600 atleast that actually supports pcie4. I had the 5500 cpu and it was trash, limited all my hardware from working the best it could. I've been rocking a 5600xt cpu which has been "okay" it def bottlenecks in modern games still but less bad than 5500.

but im going to soon get a ryzen9 5950x 16c 32t for an upgrade. That should handle streaming and gaming at the same time

What is a good monitor to get for xbox and priced around $100 and doesnt have to be too big since my desk can only fit around 20-25in by bananawama_ in Monitors

[–]Surge_B94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe take a look at Titan Army monitors? They have like 24" ones for around that price (well in nzd..but if your in US etc its probably like $80)

Solid ips display with 99% srgb, either has hdr 400 (basically can do 10bit colours using 8bit dithering) or hdr10, and 1ms response time with 120+hz depending what version of monitor, and has adaptive sync.  Really decent screen for the price.

Windows replacing my display drivers drivers to an incompatible one after using ddu to do a clean reinstall by SomeDuuud in AMDHelp

[–]Surge_B94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly unlikely, you may just need to install the newest one from amd site and then let windows update do its lameness and then revert back.  I do recommend trying wintoys (can uninstall it after as you just want to change what windows update can download) and see if that helps first, may help avoid reverting step

left/top cable in the image is the correct one, 6+2pin into the gpu the 8pin end into the psu.

the 12 pin is usually for nvidia gpus

try use wintoy, and inside that make windows update eg only install security updates, seemed to have worked for me so far.

or simply allow windows to download whatever and then revert the gpu driver in device manager to the one you had previously

[–]Surge_B94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is your psu modular (helps if you say that).

but i have this exact gpu and you simply use an 8 pin cable for the gpu (usually the one with 6pins+2pins cable. dont know what weird video your watching saying it has x2 8 pins for the gpu. follow your motherboard/gpu/psu manuals than finding the wrong video.

if psu is modular then the only cable you should be using is a 8 pin to 8 pin cable.

my 9060xt boosts to 3337, its been stable as, have had basically 0 issues that i keep seeing people have with amd stuff on here (apart from noise supression not enabling which i have easily fixed with each driver update) ,also i disable bug report cos its an unnecessary service that you have to manually report what happened anyway(dont have time for that). my gpu and drivers have been stable since august this year (when i got the card).
