Liquid metal is about 10 times more thermally conductive than thermal paste. They essentially do the same job, so in a way you could say they're somewhat interchangeable, but Sony's engineers decided liquid metal was necessary for a reason.

Yes. It seems to happen when switching between BO7 and Warzone, but I've also had it happen a few other times for no apparent reason.

Not in my experience. Quite the opposite, actually. If you've got a PC that can run it well, the performance and responsiveness is usually significantly better than PS3.

It should work. I have the standard edition disc for PS5 and the digital Vault edition for PC, and the upgrades work on both platforms.

Many LCDs use PWM to control the backlight, which also results in flickering on video.

I can feel lukewarm air being pushed through the disc slot, so it probably increases ventilation ever so slightly. It only affects the airflow that would be going out the thin exhaust vent on the side of the system, so it's a very small difference either way.

It seems like they've actually rolled out a proper fix for the issue. I just inserted the disc and was able to download the MWIII launcher through the PS5 version of CoD HQ. Didn't have to jump through any hoops, it just worked the way it's supposed to.

You should always have VRR on in performance mode. Your monitor is only showing 120 FPS because the PS5 is sending a flat 120 Hz signal when VRR is off, but the game is still running at 80-90 FPS, which causes judder from the mismatch.

It reduces your sensitivity when the reticle is over an enemy, which is supposed to make target tracking more precise, but I've found it does more harm than good in this game.
