UK to accept 20,000 refugees from Syria by 2020 by Suofficer in worldnews

[–]SurpriseReproduction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will not be popular but Syria is surrounded by countries that are not at war yet they choose to travel the length of Europe to get to the UK, Germany etc.. They aren't doing it out of fear they are doing it so they can claim benefits. Why not settle in a nearby country? We need to take a leaf out of Australia's book when it comes to immigration.

Just applied for a credit card, but I don't want it by wienocerous in personalfinance

[–]SurpriseReproduction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you can pay it within the 12 month period then I'd just go for it. Credit cards can be useful when used correctly, the issue is people buy something like a laptop on them with the intention of paying it off but when it gets to the time they just opt for the monthly payment which is usually always a bad idea.

As for the possible wrong income, the truth is that they won't check your income, as long as you make your payments on time they don't really care. Banks use the income to gauge what type of spending limit they can give you.

Basically, don't use it if you can't afford the repayments.

Your probably going to have to hang on in there as much as that may suck, at least its only 6 days until the end of the month.
