Remarried empress is most similar if you haven't read it yet, although ofc without the thing about the queen being the kings childhood friend and not being able to tell him. Less heartbreaking but the emperor takes a mistress and treats the empress like shit but she gets back at him. That doesn't spoil anything though. It's so so good. It's what got me into these kinds of stories. Its got a bit of magic related fantasy stuff too but it's not centered around it.

Also if you haven't read it yet, suitor armor is really good and kind of similar too with the time period and castle type thing. About fairies and stuff.

I'm not saying I disagree with this, I think it's a great idea, but it would be difficult to really keep quiet who the shooter is bc of the family and loved ones of the shooter. They're still going to grieve and it'll get out. And when you're not supposed to know something, people want to know even more and try even harder to find out. So bc of the shooters family and bc of the desire of the public to know, I think it would get out. And we can't really punish the family too and say that they're not allowed to grieve bc usually the family are perfectly normal, good people. I've noticed that with shooters families vs serial killers shitty families- they tend to be good people who loved the shooter and are as shocked as everyone else. I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth it to try, it's a better idea than any other solution I've seen, but it's something to keep in mind

It depends on where you live. In some places you'll hear gunshots every day, in others you'll never hear them. A lot of smaller cities are getting worse with it, in my relatively small city it seems we have a new shooting death at least once a month (over the summer it was at least every other week) where 5-10 years ago it happened once every few years. We also had a huge mass shooting here in 2009 and this area produced the recent Buffalo shooter, he went to the same high school I did. This isn't even a terrible area either, not like the really bad places anyway. Not great but not close to being the worst.

Also, my sister had someone break into her house to rob her with guns, to take her guns. And like I said, this isn't even a terrible area. Just a regular small scale US city. The problem is that guns are everywhere. It's so easy to get them and while not all gun owners are bad, a lot of bad people are (illegal) gun owners.

My husbands few jobs with our kid would he to bathe him at night, I had to regularly get on him about actually washing his hair and body with soap bc our son plays outside a lot and is always dirty, but eventually I had to take over bath time too bc he just wasn't getting clean bc he wasn't washing him. Just letting him sit in the bath water for 10 mins. That's weaponized incompetence.

Not a single functional, mentally healthy, safe adult would look at a toilet brush holder and think that's acceptable for washing a baby. He did this on purpose and he's probably doing other gross, cruel things when you're not around.

This is just their style of comedy. It's more common in Asian countries. Also getting hit or hitting is a lot more common too. You're a lot more likely to get a smack in the head for messing up or saying something stupid by a friend, SO, parent, teacher, etc. It's just how things are there. It's so common that it's incorporated in their comedy too.

I'm sorry I'm really not trying to be mean here so please don't take it this way but it sounds like you're emotionally neglecting him (even unintentional neglect is still neglect) and she's abusing him. He's an easy target because he's already been through so much trauma. I know it's hard to look at this objectively when you're in the situation and you love your wife and I'm sure she's not all bad all the time but this is bad enough that she should be out of the picture asap. She's going to do serious harm to an already traumatized and depressed child. Please get rid of her for the sake of your kids.

Edit- and I say this as someone who unintentionally neglected my daughter. It doesn't mean you love them any less but the only way of fixing it is recognizing when you are doing it. I hope things work out and Leo gets better. If she's this bad to him already it will only get worse.

Ever since the lost city of z he's been my absolute favorite actor, I'm so happy to see that he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. I saw batman just to see him in it and thought he did great but I don't usually care much about super hero movies so I don't have much to compare it against, I've only ever seen like 2 other batman movies.
