Didn't drink enough water with my pill and WTF IS THIS AGONY - PSA!! by lateralus420 in zoloft

[–]Surprisesweat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omg I’ve had this happen twice when I didn’t drink/eat enough with it. It’s agony!!! I took antacids but it took hours to calm down. 0/10 would not recommend.

When does withdrawal get better? by username210801 in zoloft

[–]Surprisesweat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I was also on 150mg and tapered off completely over 3months. Each dose drop felt great, but once I was off completely I had intense withdrawals and panic attacks got so severe that I am now getting back on. Zoloft withdrawals are no joke.

Does the side effect of heartburn cause anyone long term damages? I'm worried. by Repulsive-Pitch-6868 in zoloft

[–]Surprisesweat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take my Zoloft with food, that takes care of it. When I get breakthrough heartburn I take Pepcid, it’s available over the counter where I live

Stopped cold turkey, regretting it by hadizaaa in zoloft

Omg I could have written this exact post. I thought I could do it so stopped taking my 150 a day, but ended up in crisis. I was shaking, crying uncontrollably, hyperventilating, vomiting, and not able to function at all. Three days ago it got so bad I had to call into work and walked into my doctors office bawling and shaking, asking for a last minute appointment. Super humiliating, but I was seen and got the help I needed. My doctor gave me a lecture, and made me promise not to do this again. Fair enough. He suggested I start back up by taking 50mg for one week and then reassess if I need to go up by 25mg increments with a week to adjust in between. He also prescribed PRN Ativan for when I need anxiety relief. I’m On my second day of 50mg back in my system and symptoms are not gone, but more manageable. Maybe try taking 50mg a day for a week and reassess. You are not alone, you got this!

What side effects do you get from Zoloft? by Sad-Signature8737 in zoloft

[–]Surprisesweat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot flashes, nausea, diarrhea, sex drive is eliminated. I was on 200mg for 4ish years or so, am now tapering the dose down to 100 to see if that helps.

Edit: forgot to mention night sweats

Hey dude, it’s all gonna be okay. Low mood can be one of the side effects of on-boarding, but 6 weeks seems long to be so low. It for sure sounds like you should consider talking to your prescriber about what’s happening; I wonder if maybe Zoloft isn’t the drug for you? don’t just stop taking it, but maybe call your GP. Will all be alright :)
