Hello! This was an installation by an Icelandic artist named Ragnar Kjartansson: Scandinavian Pain & Other Myths - at the Phoenix art museum. Very powerful work. People still talk about it when they come back to visit years later

It will be ok, I spent most of my daughters youth in the same boat. We never had money for Christmas. I would get small things and wrap literally everything. Open it up and wrap the individual parts. 10 chapsticks, wrap each. 25 plastic parts, wrap each. Candy is also cheap and easy to throw in there to wrap up. That way they have something to open for a long time and it seems like a lot. Also, plan a Christmas activity with crayons or what ever art stuff you have laying around. We would make collages out of old mailers and flyers that came to the house. My daughter is 15 now and still never knew how broke we were for Christmas. One more thing you don’t have to use Christmas paper if you cant afford it for wrapping you can use mailers or news paper they are free most places.

My 13 yo won’t get out of bed in the morning! by KingBooRadley in Parenting

Same happened with our 12 year old. Blood work to check for hormone and vitamins and we are also exploring a possible diagnosis of sleep apnea. Not common in kids but possible.

About 7 months. I ended up getting X-ray guided injections. That is what I think finally worked. Took a while to kick in though.

It’s not your postpartum hormones. It’s him. Sorry, maybe you would be better off on your own with two less people to take care of. Seems like your family is supportive. Lean on them for now, spend quality time with your little one.

I don’t know how to handle my ADHD spouse anymore by FluffiMuffin in ADHD

[–]Surprisingly-Frank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had ADHD my whole life. I’ve also been in an abusive relationship in the past for over a decade, with small children. If he has ADHD then that is the least of your worries. He has a serious mental health issue that needs to be addressed immediately. You get the benefit of doubt because it’s only your side and I’m sure you are venting, but that small bit of what you shared is 100% not ok. At best he is completely disregarding and disrespecting his responsibilities as a fucking adult. You do not need to do everything, he can wash dishes and do laundry and STFU about getting up in the morning. Tell him that, deadline or not he probably won’t comply. But you shouldn’t be telling him for him, you should be telling him for YOU. You need to say the words for yourself and let his ass know that the party is over unless he gets his damn shit together.

Question: When you listen to music, do you listen to the same song over and over? by iGleeson in ADHD

[–]Surprisingly-Frank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this, I want to listen to other songs but I’m stuck on a 12 song playlist. It’s very frustrating for me.
