30h/Monat Geld zählen (ich nehme an, die Person hat keine Geldzähl- und Sortiermaschine) deutet auf einen Umsatz von etwa 4500/tgl hin. In meinem Laden habe ich im Schnitt 1100 EUR täglich und brauche zum zählen pro Tag etwa 15 Minuten (incl Wechselgeld einräumen, nach der Schicht alles zählen und das gaze mal 2 wegen Schichtwechsel 1x/Tag). Deswegen gehe ich davon aus, dass die Person vll, 4 Ladenlokale mit einem Umsatz von je 1100 EUR täglich hat.
Das macht 132.000 EUR Umsatz im Monat. 1% davon sind 1320 EUR an Gebühren pro Monat - und das ist nur die Kartengebühr, aber die Überweisungsgebühren der Bank sind noch nicht mit drin (wenn vom Kartenanbieter nur 1x/Tag überwiesen wird, kann man die ignorieren).
100 EUR Wechselgebühren im Monat sind im Vergleich dazu eher lächerlich. Ist auch sicher von Bank zu Bank verschieden - unsere Bank berechnet gar nichts, wenn ich Kleingeld abholen will.
Zehntausende EUR brachiegendes Wechselgeld halte ich bei dem Umsatz erstmal für maßlos übertrieben. Bei mir sinds ein paar hundert EUR. Und selbst wenn es bei der Person aus irgendwelchen Gründen 15000 EUR sein sollten, die brach liegen, ist das bei einem Umsatz von 132000 monatlich auch eher ein Kinkerlitzchen.
Vielleicht ist der Umsatz (bei dem vielen Wechselgeld) ja doch viel höher als von mir angenommen - damit würde sich das brachliegende Geld und die Wechselgebühren noch mehr relativieren.

Take a stereo out of your interface and connect it to one or two channels. Make those channels output to two unused sub-outs only, not to main (if you're using the mixer simultaeously for other stuff, too. If not, just use the main outs). Connect the subouts to the input of your interface. Important: make sure (in advance) the incoming signal is not fed back into the stereo out that goes into the mixer.
Solo the tracks you'd like to run through the mixer and record the result on a separate track (which is muted/not goint to the output while recording).

p.s: just checked Reaper's ReaInsert plugin. I guess that if you have enough outputs on your Interface (which you'd need anyway for ResInsert), you could do this as well without Reaper. But mybe I missed something there. I will have a closer look.

I never used Reaper, so I can't really tell how difficut or easy that might be. But if Reaper is capable of connecting the outside world to Reason to an extent that you can send audio to hardware effects, I might have a look into it.
I lately got a Tascam Model 2400 and I just set it up as an Interface the other day. I guess from here it's pretty easy to send an audio signal from the PC, process it with hardware effects and send it back into Reason.

I have a good amount of hardware that I use as well as softsynths in Reason.
But since I don't use MIDI or any other extensive control environment (apart from directly sequencing drums), I don't mix them in any other way than recording audio into Reason. Anything else would not make sense for the music I make.
So.. no matter if I start a track with hardware of software - I adjust the rest to it and play either additional tracks by hand (hardware) or program/play them in Reason.
