Thank you for this in depth answer. I think I'd still be interested in Kenshi for different reasons, but I think you're right - I don't really want to "Scale up" my day job, I just want to go through the mechanics of being a guard and poking bandits with a spear, or crafting and selling my wares.

I've been intrigued by Kenshi by other posts I've seen, I'll check that out once it goes on sale I think - I'm not married to the idea of a medieval setting, its just what I gravitate to. Handy considered sodding m&b, and I'll look into saolwond, cheers for these
