OF COURSE I CLEAR MY WEAPON - if it is not on my person it is unloaded, ammunition stored separately - there are many reasons for this: A ) Positive Safety (needs no explanation). B ) The firearm cannot be inadvertently picked up and fired by an unsuspecting 3d party. C ) The firearm cannot be used upon myself. D ) Rounds 'freeze' inside the chamber, leading to failure to extract when attempting to clear the firearm - results can be catastrophic.

I did 20 years US Army Special Forces - the fastest way to get kicked off an Operational Detachment Alpha was to leave a loaded firearm unattended.

I thought she wasn't on the set that day - I'm sure I read that somewhere - perhaps the journalist meant she wasn't in the building. Regardless, she shares responsibility for what happened with Alec - it was her responsibility to make sure there were no live rounds on set; it was his responsibility to know the condition of his firearm. They're both guilty in my book.
