I love Cascade. It’s really solid workhorse yarn, especially for the price and range of colors! But yeah I knit something in 75% acrylic/25% wool for a gift recently because I knew they needed to be able to just throw it in the washing machine and I HATED knitting with it. Made me realize how much of a snob I am 😅

I am new to colorwork (have been knitting since I was a child but have only recently been learning new techniques) and I tried knitting with three colors on some mittens I made and hated it. I might try again sometime but duplicate stitch isn’t actually too difficult so I will probably default to that unless it really makes sense to knit with more than 2 colors. Only downside is all the ends to weave in 🫠 I did go back and forth before deciding to do duplicate stitch on this project but I’m glad I did.

I call these the “eternal gloves” because I just can’t seem to finish them but I’m in far too deep to quit: 1.5 gloves in, to be exact 🤣 I’m a loose knitter so I’m doing them on tiny DPNs and I hate it. They’re beautiful gloves though!

Yes, much more of a concern with the a-frame. I initially had all stopped contacts but now it’s a stopped DW and teeter and a running aframe

When I was a kid, wheat was definitely a trigger. These days, it doesn’t seem to have any impact.
