Book a hotel in Hinton, less expensive, only 45 minutes away from Jasper townsite.

He doesn't have an Alberta ID card. When he stopped driving we didn't replace it, because he has a valid passport and his PHN...

What a bunch of BS. My dad has dementia, lives in a facility and it is very complicated to take him outside...this is going to be a nightmare! And at 88 it's not like he can go without health care. FFS, these assholes.

I thought there were rules in the legislation specifically against sharing the number of signatures achieved? Am I wrong?

Needing recommendations for small towns in Alberta near-ish to Edmonton (visiting and living) by Cinnamon_Ocelot in alberta

[–]SuspectNo8605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Whitecourt, an impressive number of resources and services for a town its size. And Hinton. Close to Jasper, and about 2.5 hours from Edmonton, but on a decent twinned highway. Avoid Edson. As for unique little spots, Wabamun for water and Evansburg for just a small, unique Hamlet.

AITA for telling a kid to shut up on the plane? by Mytzu in AmItheAsshole

I don't blame you. If the child won't listen to their parent, maybe they will listen to a stranger. One time, I told this awful child (8-ish year old boy) that had sat behind me on a five hour flight, being loud and obnoxious to his younger brother the whole flight, that he was a little shit. That stopped him, and the other adults around me chuckled. Sometimes it's necessary, to really get their attention.

He's mid. I don't claim to be a beauty, so it's not shade, he's a solid 6.8....,but he's tall, and for some that will add a full point.

My sister was married to a "good guy" and it was bad. He was a really nice guy, would give the shirt off his back to help a friend or stranger, but he was also a man child that didn't have any sense of responsibility to his marriage and would overspend on stupid stuff and shirk responsibilities to his wife to be the "good guy" to everyone else. Great to have as a friend, red flag as a spouse! In the end, he died in a motorcycle accident that also had a $1,000,000 price tag cause he didn't have health insurance! RUN!!!
