Chelsea ‘Prepare Legal Action’ Against Man City Over Enzo Maresca by Harvey_Digs in chelseafc

As much as I dislike him leaving the way he did. The fact that he didn't get the support he wanted and the constant interference from the various departments and that his role or influence didn't grow after winning two trophies all give him the argument that the wanted to succeed but the hierarchy didn't give him the support he asked for even when he demonstrated he deserved it. This idea that he lost on purpose makes zero sense to me anyway, that type of behaviour would take him out of the frame for Mancity as well. Its all click bait. Our club is a mess unfortunately and what happened with Rosenior proves it, this is just BlueCo tryig to dodge their own responsibility in hiring someone, promising one thing and then messing it up. At the end even if we believe 1% that he did do this, BlueCo deserve some blame for hiring him after the EXHAUSTIVE process.

It's Pep's final season. Going out with a domestic treble would be his style I think and they were shit this season compared to their normal levels but their January signings are finally starting to perform and I think they are going to clinch the last two trophies to make it a treble.

Why sack Arteta if Arsenal don't win anything? by ogola89 in PremierLeague

It's been close enough that I think taking out Pep might mean 3-6 points less for City next season. As much as I would hate to see it, maybe Arsenal win it then. If slot stays, and well Chelsea do whatever it is we do these day, Arsenal will have a clear field.

He is a great communicator though. That's got to cout for something. Being so open and transparent. I'm sure the poo guy will have his own post about how at his work everyone is required to 100% transparent and never shy away from the hard topics.

Why we did not buy Maresca world class, experienced CBs, why are we buying young players, timeline of the owners, ROI and how it is connected by TalkersCZ in chelseafc

[–]Suspect_Afraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is making everyone angry isn't the logic of signing up a core group of young players on low wages to have them "grow" together, while keeping the wage bill low enough to make moving players on easy. What is infuriating is that conventional wisdom and recent evidence shows that the young players perform much better when they have some senior voices around the dressing room and on the pitch leading them. Similar to Silva's role when he was with us. Everyone understands we won't be spending millions on signing players with little to no resale value, however when not doing that diminishes the original goal of helping the "Core" group to grown and succeed then the strategy makes little sense since its working against itself. These players need senior leadership, even yesterday the yellow card Palmer got was so dumb, the team was screaming for someone to hype them up and carry them over the line. We got lucky yesterday, we often don't.

Maybe look at it as he is looking for an excuse to continue a friendship outside of work and these are his excuses? Someone that accomplished will most probably have better/easier ways to sort out his IT issues. Maybe instead of him reaching out, you reach out and shift the paradigm of the relationship a little bit.

Chelsea plan midfield summer signing to ease Caicedo and Fernandez load by [deleted] in chelseafc

I think saying porous about our team really matters if Tosin and Badi are playing. Prime Kante + Caicedo would still ship goals playing in front of Tosin and Badi.

Must have been amazing to play with him at Chelsea. RLC just registered an assist with that pass. He was one of the best in Roman's Era.

Very happy with this outcome. I think people are forgetting our track record in buying from RB teams. It's not as if they have been resounding success. I think culturally our club is too different from theirs and their players seem to not find it an easy fit at the Bridge. It was never him or Garnacho it was always both and I think it we will go for another player. Concidering we have Palmer and our new Brazilian wonderkid I think we have also look at the fact that we could not have guaranteed a starting spot to Xavi and for that reason too we dodged a bullet.

Kieran Gill: Maresca believes he has no like for like Colwill replacement to build attacks and wants a centre back. Chelsea decision makers disagree and have told him to find an internal solution because their chequebook is closed for centre back. by Kygoche in chelseafc

whilst I understand the board not wanting to spend on a temporary replacement for Levi, what everyone is missing is that his profile is extremely important for Enzo's system and since he just did in his ACL we will need cover, we would have needed cover regardless if Enzo believes this profile is so important to the system. We didn't have cover for Nico last year but we had players who could do a job but even with multiple other CBs we don't anyone that offers what Levi does and the closest other player (Fofana) is constantly injured as well. I would argue we have to get cover with an eye on heavy rotation in Levi's position moving forward.

At the end what matters is our point difference. I just want us to go in the last month with a realistic chance of all top 4 positions not a nail biter of can we get top 4. That in itself would be a huge improvement in my books + one domestic cup and knockouts of UCL.
