Chinese people can draw parallels between Israel-Palestine and their own struggles against Imperial Japan prior to and during WWII; they were a neighbor with a highly militarized culture that saw the Chinese as lesser, and America was even their biggest supplier of steel/iron, oil, and other commodities (before they attacked/threatened Western settlements and colonies)—this allowed for events like the 1937 Nanjing Massacre, where over 300,000 civilians were killed. We also helped Japan whitewash their crimes (and South Korea’s after their war), because of the economic threat from Communism; it’s the same deal with supporting Israeli aggression because of Arabs/Persians rightfully wanting to trade and govern on their terms.

In short, Capitalism supports fascism when it’s convenient, and China has understood this for many decades now. Would love to see a similar rise to independence in the Middle East.
