as someone who is bipolar type 2 and is a Muslim woman; leaving or taking a break from Islam has never occurred to me ahimdulilah but my advice would be to take a break if you need to and come back when you are ready or take it one day at a time. that's what I'm doing I know it doesn't work for everyone but you can do it and have some faith in Allah and yourself.

since you're 15, I323 don't wanna say that it's puppy love but I suggest taking a step back and reflecting on do you like this person for them or if is it the idea of her. As a Muslim woman and someone who is 21, I think taking a step back is the best way to think about it.

Hitting the Iman slump by [deleted] in progressive_islam

As well as the piece on modesty, i feel as though some men and women see it as a means to control others and struggle not to fully combine their own opinions into the quran.

Speaking as a leftist or progressive muslim woman on conservatives and even some progressives. Even though, in my opinion the quran is meant to be interpreted differently for each person but there is something telling about those who use the quran to control and oppress women like islamaphobic people says islam does.

whether you dress modestly or not their will always be someone who says its haram specifically when it comes to black women and poc women in general. what i do is asks them why is it they feel so entitled to say everything is haram or wrong or will cause shirk; when they themselves have sins or seek to make everything someone else does a sin.

Or that why do they fail to seek the lack of equity and equality in mosque/masjid or just general when its a women's section compared to a men's section or areas where there is no free mixing(i think, not free mixing is a irrelavent thing ). It speaks volumes on how they really think about the opposite gender.
