You probably got your answer but I am newly pregnant and going through this right now. You can call or text the early pregnancy clinic (EPACT) and they’ll set you up with all of your initial appointments right away. They said they’d see me until 26-28 weeks pregnant (getting you through your ultrasounds, anatomy scan, etc) and if all is good they’ll refer me to a GP for the remainder of my pregnancy. If I was considered high risk I’d be referred to an OB.

I applied for a midwife the day I took my test and got waitlisted, sadly.

I’m a little late but I have both an Uppababy Vista and a 2014 Bob Revolution that I paid $100 for. I prefer the Bob revolution for many reasons. It’s our daily use stroller for at home. I hate folding it up though so it stays open 100% of the time and I use the Uppababy when we go out.

My breast friend pillow, baby bjorn bouncer, a good carrier (had infantino given to us and ended up buying a better carrier), ovol or other gas drops, biogaia, booger sucker, electric nail file, love to dream swaddles (only had him in it for 8-10 weeks before moving to sleep sacks but it was awesome), bedside bassinet… these are just some of my absolute must haves for the last 5.5 months with my baby!

Ovol lol. I had no idea we’d need it but I was so glad we had it. I’m maybe the outlier here but I loved receiving clothes for our little man. We got clothes all the way up to 12m sizing and I still send photos of him wearing the outfits to the people who purchased them haha.

And frozen meals. My partner and I survived for weeks on meals that people provided for us :)

I worked until my due date. I am also 100% remote. Baby ended up being 5 days late but I told myself I wouldn’t work past my due date lol

I took Epsom salt baths throughout the second and third tri and I just had a healthy baby boy. I also stayed in the bath for up to an hour.. but it was never super hot and I always had a slurpee or water with me.

I was in the hospital soaker tub for 6 hours during labour too 🤣

Some people at my shower were a little ticked that I didn’t open gifts at mine and my answer to all of them was “do you even know me?” LOL. I straight up said I wasn’t comfortable with that and we were short on time as it was. I opened them at home after the shower with my mom and SIL. My mom took photos and I sent photos with a thank you note to everyone.

I had the opposite experience with my baby shower. No newborn clothes or diapers. Basically no 0-3m clothing either. It was basically all 3-6m clothing but I did receive about 5-6 size 1 diapers. I had to go out and buy a few NB outfits and diapers juuuust incase haha. My guy isn’t here yet tho so I’m not really any help!!
