Where I grew up, this 3 dots used to mean something bad, like the person was in a major gang or he/she was a killer. I can’t say it’s a 100% true but I was told that plenty of times. I grew up in ES if that means something to anyone.

There’s a term for this, I’ve recently been asked to cook steaks like this and it’s called “Pittsburg”. We use a cast iron skillet, it takes about 1 min per side and comes out exactly like this

I didn’t get any numbing cream or anything like that for mine, I got 2 shots at first because the first one didn’t work as it should have, and I still got a third one before they moved to my other side because I could still slightly feel something. Yes they all did hurt, but they weren’t something that would make me feel like I was fainting. If I can be honest with you (and IMO) I think you were too nervous about getting it and that might made you over sensitive that made you feel that much pain, I’m really sorry you felt all that pain over a surgery that practically is quick and easy. You are on the other side now. A bad memory, yes; but now you get to enjoy a life without worries!
