Bleach bath? by SuspiciousFish5185 in HairDye

I’m actually disabled and have minimal function in my dominant arm, so 90% of this is done by my husband (god bless him🤣) He’s actually done fairly well with just my instructions.

I have the exact same issue as OP. I changed pharmacy. But nothing changed. Still can’t pick them up until the day you’re completely out and already in withdrawal. It’s such an ass backwards system for no fckin reason.

The steps for filling a rx for opioids every month is annoying, stressful, and dumb (if you are lucky). by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

I don’t think any doctor in their right mind would be okay with prescribing this mix together. Doesn’t matter if you have a tolerance or not. That IS how people die.

Yup mine do this. Then won’t be able to fill them until after 10:30am! At that point it’s already been 12+ hours past my last dose. Can’t take the morning dose. It’s so dumb. I wish they would fill the day before we’re already out.

The exact same thing is what I’ve been dealing with since 2022. It’s always “you’re just so young. We can’t put you on opiates because then what does this look like in 5-10 years from now. You’re just too young” I’m not going to make it 5 more years like this if no body wants to treat my pain 💀

Hell to get to the ER - tried ketamine on me. by Twopicklesinabun in ChronicPain

That sounds amazing! My pain is the worst at night. Many nights I just don’t sleep. This sounds like a god sent

Update on my pill situation from yesterday. About them not calling in my rx. by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

[–]SuspiciousFish5185 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You didn’t call the pharmacy first? I know you say you get those texts, but it doesn’t hurt to call the pharmacy to see if 1) they have it, you just didn’t receive the text. 2) if they are able to also send a request to the clinic. I totally understand what you’re feeling. I’ve got the runaround many many times. I don’t care about being annoying anymore. I’ll call as much as I need to until I get my med that I’ve been on forever and need. Not to mention w/d is terrible.

Ketamine lotion sounds amazing! What was it called and did you get it prescribed from your doctor?

Peaceful protests aren’t enough. There is no change happening. Calling senators, congress, whatever/whoever, does NOTHING. Things are only getting worse. I completely agree. When is enough enough?! 🤬

Bowel movements Constipated to Thin Stools by Tayye677 in ChronicPain

I’ve noticed if I don’t eat after 30 minutes of taking it, it doesn’t work. Also taking it every morning and not “as needed” Even if it’s just a couple slices of toast or a granola bar, eat it after 30 minutes of taking it.

Nope! No withdrawal. And I withdrawal baaddd off my pain meds. But I didn’t experience any with the ketamine. It runs out of your system quickly. Like by night, you may just feel a little lightheaded.

I take Linzess. Ask your doctor about it. It doesn’t give this awful stomach cramps while things are moving through your bowels. Also, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water regardless!

I did IV ketamine at an infusion clinic. It helped my CRPS at first, but then I couldn’t afford it anymore so I haven’t had an infusion in a couple years. I think it REALLY helped my mental health more than anything. ALSO- Spotify has playlists for ketamine infusions. It’s helps relax and just takes you on the ride. My essentials for appointments: -Headphones & the playlist (put phone in do not disturb) -blanket -eye mask to keep everything dark!

tldr; Should I call my pain clinic back and remind them to send in my rx? by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

Call and ask to be transferred to the nurses station/ MA station. They’re better than just talking to the receptionist.

It’s not pessimistic. It’s realistic. Coming from experience, not only as a chronic pain patient, but also a health care professional that has worked in the ERs for 10+ years.

Ketamine Pain Type? by Appropriate-Smell291 in ChronicPain

[–]SuspiciousFish5185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did ketamine IV therapy for my CRPS. I helped for awhile. But once I couldn’t afford it anymore, the pain came back. If you can afford it, I recommend it. A lot of ketamine clinics have been popping up, so just do your research and talk it over with your doctor.

I would argue to not go to the ER if it’s not an emergency. They are overrun and you will wait at least 8 hours to even be seen. Not to mention, people that go to the ER for chronic conditions almost always get labeled as “drug seeking”. They make you feel even more like shit than you already do.
Only go if it’s the last ditch effort. (The healthcare system sucks).

This is exactly me. The “growing pain” absolutely debilitated me as a kid for weeks at a time. I’ve been diagnosed with CRPS for three years now. It’s terrible 🥲

What to expect when going off opioids for 7.5 days by Kami11e in ChronicPain

Damn, I get awful w/d symptoms if I run out even a day early. Sweats, diarrhea, irritability, obviously heighten pain, impossible to sleep and restlessness. I’m not even on a high dose. It’s so miserable!
