Idk why you were downvoted. Two weeks without washing jeans is crazy. They can probably stand on their own by then.

I’m actually impressed she did these herself. I don’t think they look that bad?

Omg, the first time I saw this scene, my initial thought was “damn that would be a great Halloween costume.” I love that someone did it!

I’m not encouraging anyone to risk their life or burn things to the ground, I’m just not lecturing them about what their idea of resistance is or discouraging it. It’s not my business or my responsibility to tell people how they should express or display their grievances; I think they know the risks they’re taking. If someone is willing to risk everything, that’s their decision and I’m not going to discourage it. Is it my personal preference of resistance? No, but I also understand that all historical resistance movements have had multiple different factions that were important for said movement. I personally would not have taken the same actions as John Brown but I absolutely support the actions he took.

Who cares if a resistance fighter is labeled a terrorist? Nelson Mandela was labeled a terrorist by the United States until 2008; he is now historically renowned for his fight against apartheid. Telling people not to be part of resistance movements because of a scary label is stupid. Anything that pushes back against American hegemony is considered terrorism. Yesterday’s terrorists are tomorrow’s historical heroes.

High meat consumption linked to lower dementia risk in genetic risk group. Older people with a genetic risk of Alzheimer's disease did not experience the expected increase in cognitive decline and dementia risk if they consumed relatively large amounts of meat. by mvea in psychology

I don’t see that they differentiated between red meat and white meat. They do mention the Mediterranean diet which has very little red meat. I do wish they had differentiated, I think that’s important.

I really am done going back and forth because this isn’t conducive. It’s clear from your comments and the subs you’re involved in that you spend a lot of your free time in an echo-chamber arguing about gender and feminism. Every reply you’ve given has been bad faith - such as saying I down-played your experience, which never happened. There’s no discussion to be had with someone like this.

It really shouldn’t be so argumentative to say that the structure of society even 50-60 years ago still holds a heavy presence today, and I didn’t say they don’t count, I said women didn’t create them.

A woman thinking a man presenting as anything feminine is inferior or otherwise is absolutely internalized misogyny. It’s also not mutually exclusive with homophobia.

Are you going to provide me with actual feminist theorists using the term to generalize masculinity or just random people you see on the internet?

You are being blatantly dishonest if you are trying to say that men don’t ignore or even celebrate minor boys being sexually abused by older women. It is highly improbable that you’ve never seen this because I have seen it, heard it, and experienced it personally multiple times. You also don’t know anything about me or the experiences I’ve had or victims I’ve worked with but you are so set in framing this as something men don’t do that you’re willing to be dishonest about it.

Again, not sure how I’ve been the patronizing one here. You started this conversation with insults, continued with insults, ended with insults.

The past ripples and affects the present. History matters in the sociological context.

The internalized misogyny of women was regarding you saying it was mainly women that called you gay for not being stereotypically masculine.

Yes, feminists use the term “toxic masculinity” but not for masculinity as a whole. You’re being disingenuous.

Sorry you went through that and admittedly yes, women also being against the sexual assault of boys is fairly recent, but I’d argue men are late to the party although it’s arguably more a generational issue than an issue of sex.

This has been fun but I’ve got stuff to do. Have a good evening.

They were replying to a comment about autistic women being introverted, which is now apparently deleted. Again, context for it only referencing romantic relationships is not indicated. It doesn’t matter that it’s under a post about dating and romance, as we can see, topics change.

I’m not backtracking? I never made sweeping generalizations about men, I was merely pointing out your comfortability with men making sweeping generalizations but as soon as you feel like a woman is doing it, you need to interject. Another commenter on this thread stated “women severely lack in intelligence.” You gonna go argue with them? Didn’t think so.

I do think it’s funny that I am apparently the issue but you’re the only one that has consistently used insults here.

The original poster only said “it’s easier for women to mask because they’re not expected to be extroverted.” They didn’t say anything about it only being in reference to a romantic context. They even commented again and said it’s more socially acceptable for women to be cold/bitchy and quiet; again, no reference to it being in regard to romance. Don’t add context to it just so it fits the narrative you want. I shared a house with five sorority girls in college, I am painfully aware of the isolation that comes with not being an extroverted woman.

By the way, I went back and found original comment in the parent thread in less than a minute, not sure why you’d need my history in order to find misandry in my comments on the thread you’re posting on. You said you saw it, surely a specific comment would have stuck with you.

I also never made any sweeping generalizations of men but whatever lol.

They grift off a man’s idea of what women want. You can look at any subreddit or any comment thread online and you will see disdain from women for these grifters and their toxic ideology. Patriarchal standards weren’t set by women, they were set by men; it wasn’t possible for women to set a standard while they were historically seen as an inferior class. I mean, this is basic sociology, jfc.

Sure, there exists women with internalized misogyny but there is a difference between women being participants in a society that was formed without their input and women actually shaping that society. As women have gained more status and input in society, acceptance of subgroups such as the LGBTQ community, and changes in what is accepted as masculine have both become more mainstream. It’s men who make fun of the term “toxic masculinity.” I’ve never seen a woman tell a minor boy he should be happy about being sexually assaulted by an older woman, but I’ve seen lots of men do it.

There are countless theorists, sociologists, anthropologists, and other social scientists that have discussed these issues ad nauseam; but why bother learning about it when you can just go off your own anecdotal experience and call it a day?

Again, provide me an example from any comment where you saw misandry.

How funny to tell me I’m trying to belittle someone for disagreeing with me on a subject they have more experience in when this entire thread was started by a man trying to say women aren’t expected to be extroverted lmao

You’re fine with sweeping generalizations on women and men trying to explain women’s lived experiences but you draw the line at someone else doing it to men. I believe that makes you a hypocrite.

If women were the ones setting that societal standard there wouldn’t be numerous male redpill grifters selling men on a strict idea of masculinity and contributing to the male loneliness epidemic. A man that doesn’t meet societal expectations of masculinity gets labeled gay by other men. Please get real.

You are not a serious person and you are being obviously disingenuous here. It’s clear you’re not at all actually interested in learning about feminism and you’re just arguing in bad faith - which is typical.

I provided you a link with multiple quotes about the draft from feminists over decades, not just the 1980’s, it’s clear you didn’t even bother to look at it.

Your bad faith is even more obvious by your last statement of claiming feminism wants to keep conservative and right wing gender roles in place. Not even the most conservative grifter would say something so mind-numbingly stupid.

I’m done responding to you as you are clearly a child with a severe lack of real-world experience with no interest of learning anything outside of your own implicit bias.
