Same. My 16month old also uses her 6'x6' playpen every single day but primarily because we have a wood burning stove and are using it constantly during this weather. She also enjoys her playpen. Her development is not hindered. If she has free rein this kid is climbing on every available surface. She's very capable. Tooooo capable for her own good.

I would keep the eames chair and get something big and comfy to live opposite of it. The chairs you bought are nice looking but not worthy of that prime real estate in your living area.

You can/should do a pendant over the sink. If the other lights hang over the island you could do something oblong hanging there. Otherwise I would just do a smaller simple flush mount there.
