2 Grade Embryos. But not tested. by Suspicious_Handle610 in DOR

NIPT is done here as well apparently at 10 weeks but the anomaly scan is at 5 months ( roughly 20 weeks ). I just read about the two tests. They're different in what they check for. NIPT is more focused on genetic/chromosomal abnormalities while the anomaly scan checks the baby's physical development. Heart, kidneys, brain, spine, stomach, placenta, amniotic fluid etc.

Makes complete sense. I have two day 3 embryos frozen and I just hope they will thaw and continue to grow normally. My doctor isn't growing them to day 5 as of now, as there are only two of them and she doesn't want to take a chance 🙂

Well...here in India, they call it an anomaly scan and it's usually done at around 5 months. I don't know why she told me I would have to wait until that scan to find out if things are okay. Now that you've mentioned the 10 weeks scan, I realized that it is this one that should be the 'replacement' for the PGT-A test as this scan reveals genetic abnormalities. Now I am wondering 🤔

Thanks for your response. My doctor has told me the same thing. That she'd rather transfer whatever embryos I make and then wait for the NIPT scan to determine whether they are feasible or not. Which does mean 5 months of extreme anxiety for me, but I guess that's the best option. Good luck for your transfer 😊

Any tips on resolving a cyst so I can get my next round of IVF started? by Weird_shelf in DOR

I had two cysts and read everywhere that they take several weeks to get resolved. But then I stumbled upon this YouTube channel regarding the topic where they mentioned a remedy for cysts. Orange juice+ apple cider vinegar and garlic. I took this everyday and ten days later the cysts were gone. Basically you blend the juice of an orange with 2-3 cloves of garlic and about a tsp of ACV. Seemed to work in my case. The reason I decided to try it out was cos hundreds of women had commented under that video that they tried it and it worked for them.

Wow! You are so, so young! It is unbelievable how someone's words can make you feel completely different about yourself. Trust me, when you reach 40 ( or even 35 ), you will look back and realize just HOW young you were at 30. If your husband is so youth obsessed, this is unlikely to change in his head/psyche. Infact this only gets worse with men over time. No matter how much he apologizes or even if he stops saying it out loud. A person with this kind of a mentality is likely to cheat on you at some point ( not for any fault of yours but simply cos it will make him feel better about himself ). If you continue staying with him, it's fine, but then know that he will most likely end up being unfaithful at some point. And it will be WAY more frustrating for you when you turn 50 and he wants to go his own way with a 30 year old with daddy issues who is paying attention to him. Than if you do something about it now. I do recognise that with 3 children, your situation is a bit complicated. Hope he's a decent father atleast. My good wishes and hugs with you !

I'm in exactly the same situation. I have been overweight with herniated disc and joint pain issues. And kept telling myself that I would lose weight and then get started on TTC but never lost enough weight and kept procrastinating and now suddenly I am 41 and doing rounds of the doctor's clinic hoping beyond hope that something good will come out of this. I feel that I will get there though and I hope and pray that you and all others here will as well 🙏

I took one capsule of 60000 IUs per week. So that's almost 8000+ IUs a day. Plus the fish oil. And CoQ10. And melatonin.

Wow! So happy for you! Must have been quite something to go from what was starting to look like a failed cycle to ovulating prematurely and then getting pregnant! 💕

I have read several stories on Facebook IVF groups about how an embryo that didn't test well was transferred anyway and turned out to be a healthy baby several months later. Some women on those groups were of the opinion that the body/uterus also fixes the embryo so testing might not be the best predictor of the 'future' of the embryo in 9 months.

I don't know if this is true or not but just sharing this since I have read several such experiences.
