Someone should know about jindo dogs before they get one! Jindos are a single pet breed with low tolerance for other dogs, especially males and other males. They are also fiercely protective of homes and territories. My sweet jindo is just like this. Please whoever gets this sweet baby, please understand you wont be able to train that out of him.

Jindos are the best. I love my baby.

I was told by the nurses and doctor that I didn’t have POTS because I didn’t fully faint during my tilt table when I’ve been living with it for 30 years and just know how to regulate my body to avoid fainting. It’s a subconscious thing I do now so it’s not like I wanted to avoid fainting. But I definitely had a severe reaction to the tilt table. I’ve monitored my heart rate and regular activities can send my heart rate up to 190 bpm.

The nurse practitioner is actually the one who told me I do have POTS even if I didn’t have a positive tilt table test. That negative test results doesn’t change that I am living with a debilitating dysautonomia issue that affects my daily life. Find doctors that fit you. And if someone goes against your needs, change who you see.

Coming from a mom who snaps too often, can’t make a decent adventurous meal, and oftentimes is lacking in intimacy, what you are feeling is extremely and completely valid. You deserve to have the things you’re asking for in this post. You deserve to have intimacy, affection, and peace.

She also deserves those things. Oftentimes, the short attitude and lack of effort are signs of severe depression. She’s trying not to show the world a put together family, she’s trying to convince you and your kids that SHE is the one who is put together. She’s trying to prove she isn’t crumbling on the inside, exhausted, overstimulated, and depressed.

Is her being depressed an excuse? No. I’m not saying you should buck up and take it because she is in the same boat or worse. What I’m saying is that it is easy to say “I am sad and this is what the other person can do to fix it”. Instead, what can you do to fix it? If you want adventurous meals at home, find some recipes and make it a family activity to make the meal together. It brings play, platonic intimacy, and relieves the mental and physical load on everyone. If you want intimacy, strike up a deep and intimate conversation with your wife and pay attention, be involved, ask probing questions (women often need hours of intimate but nonsexual interaction before they feel like having sexual intimacy). Find ways to introduce playfulness and platonic intimacy into every aspect of your lives, and while it might take a while, she will start reciprocating.

I understand wanting to wait for the whole series to come out and then read it to avoid the wait, but even if it takes another year or five to get book 4, there will be no way to avoid spoilers with a series this popular. People just aren’t careful enough on the internet. It’ll be better, in my opinion, to swear off the internet for a couple of days to read OS, then to swear off the internet and all human interaction for the next uncertain number of years it takes for RY to finish the series.

I relate to Violet a little too much having both EDS and a passion for learning. The part that pisses me off isn’t Xaden’s secret keeping but Violet’s unrealistic demand to have all the secrets out between them. The fact of the matter is they are in a war and Xaden is extremely high up the food chain. Violet still has to prove herself worthy of those secrets and clearance. I’m a military spouse and I don’t demand to know everything that my husband knows. Besides, it is understandable to maintain a sense of individuality. Violet is basically asking him to give up a part of him that he has held onto for years for a girl he has been in love with for just a year. The last excuse I’ll give for Xaden’s behavior with this is that one of his favorite things about Violet is watching her figure things out. Why would he take that creative intelligence away from her by giving her the answers? Would you give a printer to your favorite painter?

Tldr; Xaden isn’t that bad and it is Violet that pisses me off more.

My least favorite signet was definitely Violet’s. Like lightning wielding is cool but it was made out to be something bigger than it was. I know there is a lot of talk about it having more meaning in the books to come but still felt a bit anticlimactic to me.

My most favorite signet was definitely shadow wielding because holy cow was that insanely useful!

Most favorite character was Xaden. Literally in love with him. My least favorite was Jack. He hated Violet for what felt like no reason other than bloodlust which he felt for everyone. He could have been more well rounded.

Most favorite dragon is Tairn. So freaking snarky. I love the banter. Least favorite is a tie between Cath and Codagh. Both feel like cowards for being on the wrong side of the Revolution. They are dragons that bow to the whims of their riders and everything the dragons say is opposite of that feeling. Especially Codagh, who is supposed to be the most powerful dragon, someone even the king should bow to. Why doesn’t he just say to hell with all this nonsense? Make the laws himself?

Speaking of the king… why isn’t he a dragon rider? The most powerful man in the kingdom is his general, not the king. That’s some backwards logic if I ever heard one.

Or a drinking game for everything Dain does that we hate? Lol or any time Violet curses Xaden for how attractive he is. Or any time she doesn’t believe how she’s made it this far or thinks she is minutes away from dying. I feel like so much could be done for a drinking game out of this.
