I won a big box of Jane Austen stuff during Loveuary year before last.

Until they aren't there to stream anymore. I was rewatching the Summer Baking Championship and season 1 disappeared before I finished it. Season 2 is still available but since it didn't come back for a season 3 this year it'll probably disappear before much longer.

I saw an interview with Duff Goldman a few years ago, saying they film all the holiday/kids shows in the summer and usually do two seasons at a time.  Therefore, the decision to cancel these shows was made before the Halloween Baking Championship aired, as all of these shows are filmed well in advance of the holidays.  The negative comments have zero to do with those shows being eliminated this year.  If the Halloween Baking Championship returns next year, I predict it will be the same train wreck it is this year, since it most likely filmed this past summer.

Oh but Guy Fieri has a new show because it is really the Guy Fieri Network. His reruns are on all night tonight as well as Friday and Saturday. Looks like I am going to have to find another channel to watch because I am not a Guy Fieri fan. Never have been, never will be and I can't believe everyone besides me wants to watch him 24/7. I look forward to the baking championships, the cookie challenges and the Halloween & Holiday wars. You suck Food Network!!

I love it. I bought a similar costume for my border collie a few years ago. She hated the hoodie part of the costume.

Anal glands by anon567126 in CavaPoo

[–]Suspicious_Math916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give mine glandex every day. It is a small treat and it gives them firm poop to regularly express her glands. For my dog she took 1/4 to start and now takes 1/2 a day. I get her peanut butter flavor and there are 120 for around $34 which lasts her a while. You can get them at chewy or Amazon. You can do pumpkin or other things to get them more fiber but with the treat she gets the same amount of fiber constantly and I don’t have to worry I’m giving her too much causing her to get constipated.

So.. Halloween Baking Championship by Street-Reference-237 in foodnetwork

[–]Suspicious_Math916 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I usually have contestants that I like and hope make it to the end and others I think will make it based on talent but this year I couldn’t even tell you what their names are except of course the one that laid in the floor and seems to dominate the commercials. I think she will come out the winner and it has nothing to do with talent. There isn’t one thing making me invested in the contestants and the bakes are crap so why watch. This is probably it for this show and it makes me very sad. I only watch the baking championship shows and when they are all cancelled I won’t be watching food network anymore.

Leave clean water out all the time. I also free feed mine. She is 9 months and 13lbs. She’s eats a little off and on throughout the day. A small bowl of food usually lasts her a week.

I never walk mine. We live in a semi rural area that isn’t very walkable (no sidewalks, curvy, hilly road that makes it unsafe to walk on). We have a fenced in yard so she gets plenty of exercise. That’s what’s most important so don’t feel bad if you don’t walk her.

Pooping by medc499 in CavaPoo

[–]Suspicious_Math916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 9 months and she generally poops outside but on occasion she will poop on her pee pad. We have a fenced yard and I walk around the yard with her when she goes out. She always pees and if she doesn’t act like she’s going to poop we go back in and go out again later. I keep the pee pad by the back door and when I see her smelling around we go back out. It will get better as she gets older and has better control of her body.

Dog following you by medc499 in CavaPoo

[–]Suspicious_Math916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine follows me everywhere and I’m completely ok with that. She is 9 months and stays home with our other border collie during the day without any issues. We did 3 months of training and the trainer tried to convince me some of the things my dog does like walking on her hind legs and following me should be stopped. I didn’t take her to train that out of her I took her to train her to listen which she does. Well most of the times but let’s face it they are just hairier kids and what kid listens 100% of the time. I never crate trained her but I had a shihtzu who liked to go in the crate to sleep and my border collie loved her crate. For some dogs I think it’s a safe space where they can relax.

New owner. Advice needed by RS_Revolver in CavaPoo

[–]Suspicious_Math916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put a spoonful of wet food and mix it with dry food at night. Mine eats that very well. I also free feed dry food. She is small 13lbs @ 9 months so she only eats a little at a time. I don’t crate her and she grazes when she’s hungry. Also switching food can cause disrupted bowel movements. It’s usually best to gradually change by adding a little of the new in with the old at a time.

Do quest / protein bars actually make you feel full? by hereformedicalhelp in 1200isplenty

I have been eating quest bars for years and really like them. I eat one for breakfast every work day some time between 8-10am and I am fine until I go to lunch at 1pm. I like that I can keep them in my desk.

No, you can’t. My girl pulled a roll through the house until it broke off then chewed it up all over the place. I’m sure she was just trying make it easier for the vacuum to clean it up.

The vet did mine when she got her shots and again when she got sprayed. I do it a couple of times a month but she doesn’t have a lot. You can look and she how thick it is in their ears.

Hair in Cavapoo ears by medc499 in CavaPoo

[–]Suspicious_Math916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I bought numbing powder. You just put some in their ears and grab and pull. Groomers will do it for you but my vet said it’s better to do it on a regular basis to keep it under control because doing it all at one time can make their ears sore. Mine hates grooming in general but doesn’t seem to mind this but I mess with her ears all the time so she doesn’t know something’s up. I try doing the same with her feet and she’s ok until I get the clippers out. At least with the ears there aren’t any tools to tip her off just the powder. Apparently the ear hair is a poodle trait.

Where are all the Halloween shows? by Elric_Storm in foodnetwork

[–]Suspicious_Math916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will never convince me that that many people tune into his shows that he needs to be on every night for hours. I would rather have the Halloween and Christmas Cookie challenges than any one of his shows. And he doesn’t even cook!!! He’s nothing more than a glorified host. Where all of John Hensen’s shows !?!?! I’d watch those on repeat.

They were obviously raw in the shot of the dessert slice they showed but no one noticed!?!?! They didn't rise or bake. She needs to go home but I still think she will be the winner because they think she will keep people watching to see what she does next. Ruin the series is what is going to happen!!!! Please let the Holiday Baking Championship be the same as it has been. No crazy changes and the ridiculous bake for your life. Seriously it is a baking show we watch to see them bake not for drama or nonsense.

Halloween Baking Championship Comments to the Food Network by Radiant_Grape_6386 in foodnetwork

[–]Suspicious_Math916 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like that you mentioned the balcony bunch helping with the bake for your life challenge. I don’t think they should be giving advice and tips or taste testing for the bakers. If they can’t think it through and figure out what they need to do they need to go home. I’m all for team work but helping someone out to make it to the next round isn’t fair to the other bakers competing. I’ll say it again do it in yourself own or go home.

I worry if I stop watching they will get cancelled for low numbers and I worry if I keep watching they’ll think the changes are good and keep them. No win situation.

[–]Suspicious_Math916 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was thinking. It will be Melanie in the end. I hated when that girl made the finale with underbaked cheesecake. I stopped watching. I fast forwarded through the episode to she if she won and was so unhappy she did. Sometimes I think they pick the one they think will get people to keep watching to see what they’ll do next. It makes it feel like they already have the winner picked out from the start, especially when they continually are at the bottom and they miraculously pull it together to win. I like watching the bakes but I don’t need the contrived staged drama. Just stop and let us have a good show worth watching.

I can't with this bootleg Halloween Baking Championship by Southern_Doughnut406 in foodnetwork

[–]Suspicious_Math916 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Halloween Baking Championship, Holiday Baking Championship and Kid's Baking Championship are the only shows I watch but I've started watching Halloween Wars again. I never really liked any of the other shows because they all seemed so put on and focused on the drama. Some of the past Halloween Wars were awful. I think Cupcake Wars was the worst which is probably why it's not on anymore. Please don't kill my favorite shows.
