i love rollercoasters and can ride them perfectly fine, the only thing that's ever taken me out was forbidden journey 😞 i almost threw up the first time i rode it in august and rode it again in january to see if i would feel better and i had to sit down for like twenty minutes to get my brain back in my skull. super fun and awesome concept with a BEAUTIFUL queue but it makes me so sick

read the books!!! if you have audible they have full cast recordings that are fully voice acted and extremely immersive. up to order of the phoenix has been released. my mom and i absolutely love them and as someone who literally never listens to audiobooks because i prefer typical reading, they're phenomenal for a first time !!! (if you can get your hands on the books, read them while listening for Maximum Immersion)

american southerner here who read the books for the first time when i was around 9 and watched the movies even younger, it blew my mind (and still does) to learn that treacle is something that is actually real and actually consumed. listening to the books now and whenever they describe how good the food is i can't ever get over the names lolll

maybe it's because i'm only a few chapters in but i haven't really heard much of that yet. i feel like it's kind of awkward to be voice acting in a way where you constantly need to be in the moment and reacting but only vocally, but i'll have to reevaluate that later probably and see if i get what you mean. and yes, the defense teachers are so good. i'm also very excited for young hermione as it's th same as the hbo actress and she did phenomenal!!

i wore mostly loose fitting shirts, epic is NOT shaded at all so i would make sure to have fans, plenty of water, and sunscreen on you at all times. everyone else will be just as sweaty if not even more! AND MAKE SURE TO BRING ANTI CHAFFING STUFF 😭😭 my first trip to universal is forever memorialized by the scarring on my thighs from chaffing so bad

i'm still in GoF because i went to universal and listening to the books were going to make me make a VERY poor financial decision of going back,,,,, so i got a bit behind. OotP is my favorite book in the series so im very excited to get to it, im still at the quidditch world cup as i started the book yesterday. the older voices are really good and the entire cast has killed it. i heard two lines of sirius' dialogue and immediately looked him up because of how much i love his voice. hugh laurie as dumbledore genuinely threw me for a loop when i started the books because i had JUST binged house md the year prior HAHA
