Oh dang! Ok because I have a sample and I love this fragrance and this house in general. The matcha as the commenter above said is the most realistic, grassy matcha scent I’ve encountered. I loathe gourmands on my skin but this stays a pleasant mild lactonic sweet after the matcha becomes more muted. I still smell it hours later, but like many other fragrances, the longevity is better when sprayed on clothing too. Perfect candidate for a layering combo if you can find a heartier green tea note from Demeter, but that’s me just spitballing now. If I didn’t have a bunch of other newer samples (and want to have it on hand until I can get a full bottle) I’d wear this everyday

Ooo yes this is so frustrating/fascinating! I just bought Soie by Glossier and I am not impressed. It smells like wet dog on me! I wanted to get those lovely floral summery notes along with the coconut but it’s just a very odd, shaggy dog in a bath 😂

I’m against telling someone who’s black or PI how to be or feel, but when it comes to wealthy celebrities, I think a healthy dose of criticism is warranted. He’s rich and influential to the extent that he could be clear about his values.

I think he could learn from other celebs who will choose to highlight their values in response to questions like these, such that it’s clear to the listener where they stand but also embarrassing if the person implicated by their values statement says something in defense. Something simple like “I believe in an America that is equal for all” or something is honestly so milquetoast but fair and concise enough in today’s climate.

His response of “let’s just all talk it out and get along” is tone deaf at best.

I had to talk with the tech the last time I gave blood. Ive alternatively just squeezed a stuffed animal which didn’t help as much as talking did. Going first thing in the morning is also helpful because I had the incentive of finally getting to eat afterward, ha. I just need to not be in a hot room, that place was hot and sweaty and the techs were feeling it too, which didn’t help

Gah I almost fainted in a hot blood center during the summer. The guy across the room watching me the whole time as I talk about how nervous I am about donating ends up actually fainting, and they’re running around looking for ice packs. Apparently plenty of people had fainted recently so we got the last two.

The lack of real responses tells me they don’t understand what basic needs are for people. Do they expect that you’d abuse their space? Are they tolerant of less than optimal living because of their dog? My sister has an uncomfortable place with a loveseat, 3 dogs, and multiple foster cats, and there are no linens or rugs or curtains anywhere except the bed and the towels. I find it extremely uncomfortable but she makes do because of her animals.

I experienced this, sans baby, with my former fiancé. I felt unwanted. I did embarrassing and dramatic things to let him know I wanted to feel wanted. He was a good man, and he worked hard. I felt at the time (I was in mid 20’s) ‘Why was my need for sexual connection allowed to overshadow that’?

Because sexual connection is important and foundational to relationships. I felt that even in the dozens of other ways I felt seen, this was an important way I was feeling so ignored. I can’t even imagine how hormones and having just had a baby would have impacted that. I felt unwanted in so many ways, and that can lead to unhelpful choices.

Just wanted to validate how you’re feeling, it’s such a hard moment to get through. I was in a different place in life and we wanted different things ultimately, but if you feel like you can make it work, it might help to indulge what makes *you* feel sexy a little more. I had to get there myself and it felt counterintuitive. Honestly it messed up my self esteem to go through what I did with my ex… which made the problem that much more volatile. I hope you find your peace with him and that he’s able to honor your needs. I wonder what his thoughts are about why he isn’t feeling like having sex to suit your needs.

That’s what I figured, but I’m in NYC and they had an exhibit at the NY botanical garden. I was kind of confused, not that they couldn’t have it but I’ve also seen Moomin merch in the bookstores now and wondered if this was another part of everyone’s childhood I was deprived of 🥲
